David and his wife lived to love each other. They loved other people, other creatures and the earth. They always helped whenever it was needed. It would be fitting that they would turn into trees. I'm glad that I got to experience these types of shows as a kid.

Now days if the writers of a children's show made an ending like that all the parents would get together and file a giant lawsuit against the creators complaining about how their children are now scared that they are going to turn into trees.

don't feel too bad. what this clip doesn't show is that after swift goes down the mountain, he meets a female fox who he runs off with. Considering that the message of that final episode was that everything eventually must end, it's nice to know that they also taught kids that there's also new beginnings from every ending, even if we don't get to see those stories play out.
