Stunning yet again. I love that you mix different woods for different effects, and that epoxy globe is brilliant. The golf ball reflects just enough light in all directions that it looks like the beacon of a real lighthouse. You are an artist of the highest caliber.

Once again you blow my mind with your creativity. When you did the ridges I thought, "lighthouse" I was doing good until you made the expensive tee. Then ❓ whenyou made the glass part, which is beautiful, back to lighthouse. Then I decided to just wait and see. Love the result.

David Adamsen It’s the flaws that give wood turnings character. If things were perfect, it would make turnings a little boring; everything would look the same. I think you did just fine!

Every video I’ve watched of yours, David, I think, “man, spectacular, can’t get any better”, and then you do. I am a golfer since age 8. I will turn 60 in September. I know golf. I’ve seen it all, over the decades. What you have produced could be the trophy given to the champion each time the PGA Tour plays Hilton Head. Looking forward to your next project.

Very clever and thoughtful. Thanks for showing the mishap with the small spindle. I turn lace bobbins that size but much faster (3900 RPM), also using a Jakob’s chuck but I also use the point on the live center with just enough pressure to hold it steady. Spindle gouge and skew to take it down to 5.5 mm.
