I feel God knows our hearts and I ask God to please forgive me for sins before I go to sleep at night. Flee from temptation each day but we all fall short in some ways.Try to feed the spirit and no the flesh each day. Now I will be honest with you that if I see a beautiful woman I do tend to have thoughts that I struggle with each day. Lately I’ve been reading more of the Bible to feed the spirit and to be closer to God. We including myself are either moving towards God or away from God. Just saying…God bless everyone…..

If you have trusted in Jesus Christ and his shed blood for your atonement plus nothing else for eternal life you are saved, forgiven, declared righteous, justified and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise until you receive your glorification. We are forgiven ALL trespasses in Christ Jesus. Paul repeats this twice in Ephesians and Colossians. All you need to do is believe. That’s the hard part. Reckon yourself DEAD to sin. If you look at a woman just reckon yourself dead to that sin. Keep believing it and staying in that reality. It’s the only way to victory.

Parable of the 10 virgins…. Parable of the Goodman of the house…. Parables of the seed sown, some withering and dying… Parable of the man who had not on a wedding garment… Account of the Corinthian man…. …..repent and sin no more, bring forth fruits meet for repentance Ephesians chapter 6 wrestling against wickedness… Christianity today and for a long time now since John Calvin and others has made way too much about conversion itself. It’s blown completely out of proportion, to the point that the whole work is about the new birth and then it stops there. There’s no plan for afterwards. The new birth is not the ending but only the beginning! Jesus made it simple. He says “follow me.” Action word. He doesn’t say “your sins are forgiven” but you do nothing from there. He says “go and sin no more.” And that’s the Christian life. Following. Obeying. Striving against sin. At the time of conversion, a metamorphosis takes place. Sins are forgiven (only committed sins) sins we may fall into later the Bible says there is no sacrifice to cover it until we ask. But sin is also bound in our life. We suddenly desire good things instead of evil, we suddenly hate the evil. Our carnality is now spiritual. I agree with you on all that. But we have to follow. We have to obey. If we don’t, we die spiritually. The Bible is so plain on this. If I tell you to follow me, first you have to want to, right? Suppose in order to follow me you have to go through a time of preparation, maybe even some counseling, etc. then suddenly you’re ready. But have you followed me? No! Not a single step. But this is much how Christianity is today. People can speak of the day they met Jesus and were forgiven. Jan 13, 1989 for example. But that’s about the extent of their Christian experience. 10, 20, 30 years later Nothing much else to talk about. No fruits of grace in their life. No actual following. No times they can speak of where the Lord spoke to them and softened their hearts, no tears of unworthiness at how the Lord has led them. Nothing. In a church we attended, an old man taught Sunday school and about the only thing he could speak of on Christian experience was of a job he miraculously landed when he needed one badly. That’s it. Sadly, I worry that such an individual has died spiritually years ago. Has fallen asleep as Jesus warned. I don’t know, I’m not this man’s judge. To begin to follow Jesus, to pass from death to life is very important. But it’s only the beginning. To end with Jesus leading us, is the most Important.

If God has not forgiven our future sins all of us are definitely going to hell... Do you think the Holy Spirit lives in a place of sin? No, he can't, so, if you think God takes into account every new sin you commit, then, the Holy Spirit has to leave your heart every time you sin, because He will not live in a heart full of sin... It is evident that Christ took all our sins (past, present and future) so that the Holy Spirit could live in our hearts... Yes, we have to repent from our sins and apart from them, and yes we have to confess our sins in order to be healed, but Jesus made our forgiveness complete through the shedding of his blood, He is the propitiation sacrifice, there can't be remission of sins without shedding of blood... So if you still need forgiveness for your new sins then you have to sacrifice Jesus again everytime you commit a new sin... If you trust in your capacity to confess all of your sins and ask for forgiveness every moment you make a mistake, then you will end up putting your faith on yourself... because no matter how perfect and complete was Jesus' sacrifice, in the end it depends on your confession... So, it's about you and not about Jesus... Please, don't put your eyes on you, it will only take you to frustration and desperation, put your eyes on Jesus and his perfect work on the cross.

Unfortunately the HIPOCRITES, cannot rest in the perfection of Jesus Christ and they try to establish their OWN will what should be done and how the scriptures should be applied and understood. If you got the perfection of Jesus Christ than why can't you REST in it? I'm VERY VERY glad that you mentioned Ephesians 1:13. The last word in that verse is the word PROMISE. So what happens when you get an official royal SEAL of authenticity and YOU brake it? Where is ONE verse in the scriptures where it says that you don't have FREE WILL after you get your SEAL OF PROMISE? Obviously you have SELECTIVE EYES when it comes to the scriptures, if that wouldn't be the case than you would see the verse in Revelation 3:4. Personally, I believe that while yes all of our sins are forgiven and paid for on the cross by Jesus Christ, we are still expected to ask forgiveness of our sins. Yes, God knows we will sin, He knows we are imperfect, but I believe He expects us to acknowledge our sins and acknowledge that we are sinners. I’m trying to find the right words but I struggle a lot of times. When we slip up even in regard to our fellow man, it’s expected of us that we apologize or in the very least acknowledge our mistake (example: you accidentally hit someone’s car in the parking lot, you leave an apology note on the windshield and the whole rest of the shabang) and it is no different with God. The only difference here is that God tends to be a lot more forgiving of us than our fellow man can be at times, haha-

@endtimesareuponus8930 hi! This was an old account of mine that I had lost access to for some time, and I apologize for not seeing the reply until now. In regards to your comment, Christ paid for all of our sins on the cross, the difference is we must accept His gift of grace and mercy. He offers forgiveness of all of our sins, some people just don’t accept that and deny Him. We are not going to be perfect on this side of eternity, but Christ paid the penalty for all of our sins past present and future. That is, of course, not an excuse to willingly sin since Christ is not an insurance policy so to speak. Rather, it provides the grace and mercy that are necessary for us fallen and sinful creatures. 1 John 1:9 states that “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” In Colossians 2:13-14 it is stated that “and you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.” In 2 Corinthians 5:17-19 it is stated that “therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.” In Hebrews 10:10-14 it is also stated that “And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.”

My question, respectfully to you is this. What are we trusting in? Jesus finished work on the Cross? Or us trying to be "Holy"? Only God is Holy, only God is Good, Only The Finished work of Christ can save us. It is NOT of ourselves it is the Gift of God. You have spoken of John's apistle. Stated the verse where he says to repent and we should tell God of our sins and he is righteous enough to cleanse us of all of our sins. You are correct. We all need to change our minds and admit we are sinners in need of our savior. We don't save ourselves, Christ our Savior Saves us, by the shedding of HIs blood, and faith in The Gospel, not of works, lest any man should boast. The Bible is clear, none are good, no not one, only God is good, and by His Grace we are saved. Should we go out sinning, and not respresent Him in that way, no. But, to me that has zero to do with salvation. Jesus did it all, paid in full.

Amen, you are right. It's Jesus or us, but its not us. Jesus only died once for ALL sin the bible says. So, yes, if a believer in Christ sins, it's already been paid for. Besides a son or daughter of God, born of God does not commit sin, 1John 3:9 His repenting if sins is not even biblical. Repent means to change your mind, the Greek word is Metanoia and so biblically speaking, repent meant to change your mind from unbelief to believing in God. Faith alone in Christ alone!

The Bible says you are already forgiven. You are asking for something you dont know you already have. Jesus DIED for all your sins. The wages of sin was death, and he paid it all. Remission of sins always required an unblemished blood sacrifice, and Jesus was sacrificed on your behalf. God already has His sacrifice.. What youre missing is FAITH. Faith in the FINISHED cross-work of Jesus Christ. Not of your fleshly self effort. Trust the Word of God (king james Bible). The bible says that anything that is not of faith in Christ is sin. Romans 14:23 kjv. We sin sometimes without realizing it. As long as saved or unsaved people live in a fleshly body on earth, we will sin. Romans 7. There is no more sin to confess because everyone born today is a sinner, yet Christ forgave and died for all our sins. Ephesians 1:7; 2nd Corinthians 5:19 kjv. He took those sins to the grave and left them there. Then he rose again 3 days later. Thats the gospel. 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 kjv. Thats the good news this world rejects. If people choose to believe the gospel they are SAVED from Gods eternal rath. If people chose NOT to believe, they will go to hell in thier disbelief. Salvation is not getting your sins forgiven, its believing they already are. Grace and peace.

It is refreshing to hear a teacher of the word of God uprightly oppose Hypergrace, and apply scripture to explain the need to repent of sin after conversion. Hypergrace and Calvinist "propitiation" teachings seem to have so many vocal acolytes, who take responsibility for actions away from the person making them. If God says He will not forgive us if we will not forgive others, responsibility lies squarely on the person refusing to forgive! Not on Jesus to continue bearing more and more unconfessed sin! To say that blatant, clear transgression from God's ways is permissible because of Christ's sacrifice is extremely disrespectful (as warned against in Hebrews 10:26-30), and contrary to many scriptures throughout the New Testament. So whether Hypergrace, or Calvinist "propitiation" proponents, there is no basis to expect forgiveness in the face of rebellious sin and iniquity. Our hearts and lives are to be holy, our eyes fixed on Christ, and our hearts circumcised and cleansed from sin. Repentance is a privilege, since without Christ, no-one had any hope of paying the price for sin and attaining life. Repentance gives us the path to lay hold of Christ's sacrifice on our behalf, so that God's mercy can be extended toward all of us who have transgressed. Mercy is key and requires humility from us. Pride, and refusal to repent leads people to become slaves to sin, and back in the enemy's camp. (1John 3:7&8). Here the word clarifies that "he who does what is right is righteous" (not he who does what is sinful but is "covered"!)

Easy Peasy. John is including everyone in this verse, (If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.) the word confess means that I agree with God that I am a sinner in need of forgiveness. He Promises all of us that he will forgive us and he will purify us from ALL unrighteousness. There is that magic word again (ALL) So if we acknowledge (confess) we are sinners in need of a Savior who forgives us then makes us righteous thru Christ. It says nothing about repeating the process on a daily bases. What should you do if you sin as a Christian? Believe in his Word and thank him for the forgiveness that he has given you without merit. God Knows we are broken and he provided the fix. it is as simple as that. Christ said he did not come into world to condemn us but that through Him we may be saved. It does not say through him and with our help we may be saved. I assure you that God is big enough to do what he said he would do without help from us. God also saved you from yourself.

@lee Walker I think I agree with that too. It’s like Spurgeon once said the grace and forgiveness of Christs sacrifice was like the Thames river in England. And just we alone have access to it. The Thames didn’t wash the sin away before it was committed but it’s there, mighty and free and in abundant supply for when we do sin. Each of us have our own Thames river of grace. We used to hear of people who “sinned away grace” meaning that they sinned so grevious and presumptuously that the mighty “Thames river” could not wash them clean any more…” I don’t know about that except that if the Spirit is grieved too many times, He may depart and never return.

Why is it that you have no problem admitting that the children of Israel sinned and run afoul of the promises of God but in the new dispensation suddenly people are allowed to sin sin sin and there’s not a consequence? Sir, I’m not going say any more but you are teaching something very dangerous to the soul. If you teach this and lead someone astray, may God change your mind before you do! Have a nice day.

@@Sandridge-w3l actually the verse says you are sealed UNTIL the day of redemption. Not until you sin. Jesus said if you drink of the living water you will NEVER thirst. All who BELIEVES HATH, right now present possession, ETERNAL life. Not temporary until you sin. You can’t have eternal life if it’s not eternal. Too many people don’t understand this and live their life not knowing if they will make it. Do you know why I know? Because God is faithful and he is True to his Word. I don’t need to see if I’m living good enough or have repented enough to stay saved. There are VERY FEW places in the New Testament that appear as if you could lose salvation but hundreds of verses which support eternal security. Also remember the New Testament does not start until after the cross. Most of the 4 gospels were written being still under the Jewish law.

He covered that. He said you don't lose your salvation if you sin. The idea of losing your salvation everytime you sin is just not supported in the scriptures.
@Sandridge-w3l2 жыл бұрын
@shadowmist suppose one is tempted to lie about his income taxes. Or one plans and lays out a plan to commit adultery. These sins are willful and planned. The Spirit warned the individual many times but the flesh was weak, there was some discouragement involved and the person fell. You believe that if those sins are not confessed you are still in the grace of God? The Holy Spirit won’t be grieved? These are sins unto death, they cause spiritual death. “Neither fornicators nor adulterers will inherit the kingdom of heaven.” …”and all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire”. I do realize that God remembers that we are dust, he is merciful also but it if the Spirit warns us, pleads with us, and we refuse to stop the sinning and/or confess it, we will ultimately die spiritually. From one willful grave sin. “Lesser” sins such as snapping at your wife when the coffee is too black or flying off the handle at your teenage daughter still needs to be confessed because those types of things can continue and if we don’t get a hold of ourselves on it even they can take us out of the grace of God eventually and we can die spiritually. Consider the Corinthian man who had his stepmother or own mother (God forbid) and he refused to stop it or confess, and Paul said to deliver him to Satan for the destruction of his flesh so that he could see his error and repent. Doesn’t sound like he kept his salvation during that time does it?
@shadowmist12462 жыл бұрын
@@Sandridge-w3l Tony, this might be an example where not only context matters, but a simple reading of the scriptures will help as well. When the bible says, as you quoted: "Neither fornicators nor adulterers will inherit the kingdom of heaven", what this means is that sinners are not allowed into heaven. It means that the rightiousness that we need is that of Jesus (perfection). First, the process of sanctification is not an overnight thing. Note Hebrews 5:14 NIV: "But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil." Does that mean only the mature are saved? Second, note Romans 7:15-17 NIV: "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me." Was Paul constantly saved and unsaved? Third, note 2 Timothy 2:13 NIV: "if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself." This is pretty self explanatory to address dying before confessing. Forth: you need to understand that while all sin is sin and all sin is enough for death --- not all sin is equal in that sin can mature. Note James 1:15 NIV "Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death."

Ok I agree that practicing sinners won’t get into heaven but a verse comes to mind: brethren if our heart condemns us not then we have confidence towards God. But If our heart condemns us God is greater than our hearts and knoweth all things (or something like that). And, “if we sin willfully after having the knowledge of the truth there remains no more sacrifice for that sin. That’s pretty plain. And it’s serious too. The soul that sins shall die. In the previous verses quoted, they are spoken to the churches. May we say to saved people? Why would it be about the unbelieving world when they already knew that. For that matter, the unbelieving world also knows this, at least to some extent. No, he’s speaking to saved people. Sin WILL cause the heart to condemn us, and if our heart condemns us we better be going to the Savior! Scripture says ALL the dead were judged out of the books. That’s you, that’s me. If we have unrepentant sin on our heart on that day, we will perish.

Dont take my word for it, listen to God Himself: "In whom *we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,* according to the riches of his grace;" Ephesians 1:7 KJV We already have been redeemed. We already have forgivness of sins because of what Jesus did. "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake *hath forgiven you."* Ephesians 4:32 KJV Hath forgiven. Is this 100% truth sinking in yet? "In whom we have *redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:"* Colossians 1:14 KJV Redeemed through his blood, not by your belief. "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;" Colossians 2:13 KJV "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation" - 2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV *God wrote those verses, do you believe them?* When we were yet enemies, Christ died for us ( his enemies, not believers). Get it? Mark and test these words with scripture: *Any unsaved person who listens to you and takes your advice will go directly to hell for REJECTING Gods word of reconciliation (2Corinthians 5:18-20) For LACK OF FAITH in Jesus' FINISHED crosswork. Until you submit to Jesus' righteousness of the FINISHED work God has already done on your behalf, you can never be saved. Getting saved is not something you physically do, Its hearing and BELIEVING the good news ( the gospel) of what God has already done to saved you. A soul is saved upon believing the Romans 1:16 "gospel of your salvation" *What is the gospel of salvation?* Do you believe Jesus already forgave (Ephesians 1:7 kjv) ALL your sins, (2nd Corinthians 5:18-19 kjv) died in your place according to scripture, took those sins to the grave and left them there, and he rose again on the third day according to scripture? 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 kjv. I have a Ytube video series 'Myths in so-called Christianity' and this subject is one of them, as atonement actually happens after you die, but is accepted as done at baptism as we promise not sin, but break our contract if we do then we no longer have any claim to eternal life.

This Pastor is confused about 1 John. Read the entire context from 1 John 1:5 all the way to 10. The "we" is always preceded by "If". So "If we" does not mean we the believers or John would not be saying "If we...". Please read the Book of Hebrews 9 and 10 to understand the complete forgiveness achieved by Christ, once for all time. Acknowledging or confessing sins is great for your own spiritual growth and to get more intimate with our God, but you cannot attain forgiveness merely by asking. Christ already did that.

However this guy is Right about making the bible say what you want it to say because he is doing it. He is jumping from scripture to scripture that are not even in the same books to do so. The books of the New Testament are letters to various people or churches. Now how can you take from different (love letters) as I like to call it and make up the Truth about either letter. That all by itself is out of context. Notice Paul calls most of them SAINTS so how can they be saints and be endanger of hell for believing God did it all and gave us the reward for it. God says that believers are sealed with the Holly Spirit ( EHP 1:13) Notice the same letter or Book. God Does not forgive future sins but he forgives ALL sins. Huh? He indeed forgave ALL sin and he also said it was a gift so that no man could boast of his own works.....EPH 2:9 (perspiration, or doings).Wow, Thank you God for not allowing us to mess this up again by trying to involve our works.... so I would have to differently say God is full of hyper Grace...I like that.....Thanks David.

And He was and still is healing even today because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Never once did Jesus tell someone that He couldn't heal them because God was teaching them something with that sickness or that God was using that sickness to kill them. God is not in the business of killing people. He is in the business of saving and healing people. That's why He sent Jesus.
