Why does this make so much sense, I've listened to hundreds. Of hours And it's all been spot on. Can't imagine how anybody could miss this unless their minds were veiled & cloaked from law.😊.

Enjoying your teaching brother, greetings from Northern Ireland, the churches here are the same as you experienced, preaching law and grace for salvation and when you say it to them you're thrown off the nearest cliff.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 🙏🏼 And the rest of chapter Eph 1. Yur teaching heals my soul and gets me closer to the Lord by faith. I enjoy Him so much more and I feel my heart purified of evil thoughts, not if just any sin but the sins of thinking awful things about God. The unbelief and exalting myself. How could I have been so wrong. Also it makes love others so much more that Jesus loved them this way who am I not to love them the same?

What frustrates me to no end is I remember what the mormon church taught in the 80's and 90's as a youth but I realized how much it has changed to appear to the public as Christian. I just saw an ad that appeared Christian until I realized who made it. Also, the missionaries have no idea what I'm talking about when I tell them their beliefs in their own religion and my family seems to have forgotten what they taught at church when we were kids. That blew my mind and makes it even harder for me to witness to them because they've adopted more "Christian" beliefs and buried a lot of the older stuff. Since they only read mormon doctrinal books that are surface level, they just can't see what is wrong with their religion. If they ever doubt their religion, they look around and say "well, we're doing good things, so this has got to be as close to truth as it gets." As a mormon, I never would have fathomed that works didn't come into play to achieve some high level in heaven and thought grace might bump me up a little. But if I hadn't fallen off the straight and narrow works path and became a hopeless sinner, I wouldn't have become desparate enough to just look to Christ alone to save me.

I can really relate to what you said I come from a Mormon family on my dad side , being around Mormonism I never felt I fit in but it confused me because my Mormon family who I love dearly are very loving people but I know they are deceived , the enemy is sly he can appear as an angel of light and I do see how Mormonism in the last 10 years or more how they appear to be more Christian, yep the missionaries have no idea what their Mormon doctrine is I’ve talked to a few at my door , the last one who came by I flat out asked so do you know that your religion believes satan is JESUS brother ? He just stared at me took him a min to answer , I said so you believe JESUS is created ? I said no he always has been all things were created by him and again he didn’t know how to answer , I’ve thought this many times or at least in my opinion going to Mormon service is more like going to a social group it’s not about Christ and they want to keep you so busy with their groups home teachings ect,,, so you don’t invest in what the religion really is about ,, GOD Bless glad CHRISt revealed the truth to you 💕🙏

@@staceycook6404 Yes, there is a conflict right there in their belief system. We were taught that Jesus is Satan's brother and they had some big fight in the pre-existence over who was going to lead us. Satan supposedly wanted to force us to believe and Jesus wanted to give us a choice. So God the Father said Jesus will be the savior and Satan went off in a huff wanting to destroy everyone. So Jesus got exalted to be a member of the Godhead and died for the people's sins only if they did all they could do in their own strength to inherit what God had, which is to be a god of their own world and have their own spiritual babies with the person they married in the temple with. But men could have a lot of wives because they'd need a lot of spiritual babies. I remember my Dad telling me that God had a father because God was once a man himself and had earned Godhood. He also said God had many wives. And God lives on planet Kolob. 😑. This is what Joseph Smith taught but I think it has changed some, but I don't think they try to make sense of it as it is poo pooed to look at any information that isn't condoned by the mormon church because Christians are the worst persecuters of mormons with all their "lies" standing outside temple grounds with all their gospel tracts to make you lose faith in the church. Notice it's faith in the church. Jesus basically takes a backseat somewhere in the eternal picture with all these "gods". Looking back, I'm amazed I believed all that and other rubbish but it goes to show how strong the deception is, especially being born into it. New converts get hooked in by the social aspect and yes, we are kept very busy so you don't have time to read the bible because you are just trying to get through the book of moron.

This is such a great convo bc I have wondered how Mormonism became like a branch of Christianity... and it didn't, per se, it's all the ecumenical that are getting together for the one religion- I say this bc I grew up Catholic, and everywhere I read Mormon here I could insert the word Catholic. It's exactly the same. Just because you are Catholic does not mean your Christian. In fact, it could very well mean the opposite. And now I am becoming more bold to share with people that they are being abused and stolen from. An heir in Christ, and we walk around with paper bags on our heads!? Why do you think that the gospel of Grace is met with unbelief? I think it's because Satan has conditioned us in two manners: if it's free, there's a catch... and if it's free, then...wait... I would have to admit that me, saved and the thief on the cross, also saved, are equal (heirs.) I can't find anybody that sins anymore, let alone would ever put themself on the same plane as a thief, murderer, child molester, etc. Grace is so humbling. My hubby and I went to a Chris Tomlin concert about 15 yrs ago, and when we left, my husband, said "...would you like to know my epiphany? When we are standing at the bema seat before God, we are all going to be equal." That blew my mind. I knew it was the voice of my Shepherd, but I had spent my whole life wringing my hands and working for my salvation because I was taught it was faith plus works. Think about this: My husband literally was contending for the faith, and I was in disbelief that it could be by grace alone.

This was excellent brother David Benjamin. I pray the ones who are doing this to themselves and others will just hear you not blow you off because their pride. I was attacked pretty bad by ine of these types for days,and because of your teachings i was able to get through to them and help them. We are to pray for our enemies. Even when i was accused of living in perpetual sin lol,they are obsessed with sin consciousness. They take offense when i kept saying the gospel is the plumbline. This individual even said i was out of touch with reality. When in fact all i was accused of they are most likely quilty of. To make a long story short I was subbed to this individual for a few years and just watched a few videos here and there. I caught them teaching wrong beliefs after they mentioned Matthew 7 they said they were petrified of the word lawlessness. They must be hearing false teaching and getting on youtube and teaching falsely. Thank you so much for all you do. Micheal Card even does a song about these types called Gods own fools. God is awesome we serve a mighty God a supernatural, omniscient omnipotent omnipresent Self existing eternal God. Hallelujah 🙏 💞 😊 👑

Quote from Manly P. Hall in The Secret Teachings of all Ages (Chapter II page 2): "Thomas Taylor has written, "Man is naturally a religious animal." From the earliest dawning of his consciousness, man has worshiped and revered things as symbolic of the invisible, omnipresent, indescribable Thing, concerning which he could discover practically nothing. The pagan Mysteries opposed the Christians during the early centuries of their church, declaring that the new faith (Christianity) did not demand virtue and integrity as requisites for salvation." Crazy to see even a secular man like him attack true Christianity and how he shows that works salvation has always been the inherent doctrine of the world from ancient times. That it's not just false Christianity that teaches it or Judaism, but even all the Pagan mysteries. It's either by practical works or works in the sense of gaining "spiritual" knowledge and that way becoming like gods, just as the serpent said in Eden. That's what all the philosophers think, that by becoming "spiritual" they will essentially transcend to the divine. It all goes back to Eden. Nothing new under the sun.

Glad to no longer be a Galatian, the cognitive dissonance wasn’t a good time. Can’t believe how jacked up the church is these days. My assembly preaches some crazy stuff that I didn’t realize before. It’s an interesting mix of both lordship, prosperity and grace. Crazy stuff too, like a weird view of prayer where you pray for things you need in order to prove God via prayer and he rewards you for it. As if He can be swayed one way or another and hasn’t already decided to bless you in His will. Never once heard a message that was intended to convince you that you’re saved, I’ve heard a message at least once a month about how you might be deceiving yourself and that you might not actually have trusted Him. Never realized how corrupt it was until stumbling into the grace community, I thought I was wrong for this preaching making me feel vexed.

How do we keep ourselves out of the equation and only give credit to God? I find that it sounds like mysticism. For example I lost 40 lb over 13 years. People who see me congratulate my willpower, but really I don't know why what I did this time worked. I tend to throw the baby out with the bathwater. If I can't claim anything but Christ for salvation, how do I not boast in any other area of my life? How do I give advice to people if answered prayer is God's prerogative? That makes sense in my head, but is probably clear as mud.
@davidbenjamininchrist
@davidbenjamininchrist Жыл бұрын
I think it's best not to over spiritualize. Paul said where is the boasting? Is it because of a law that says do not boast no it's the law of faith. We just say what we believe. I've lost some weight. It's always a struggle though. And when people ask me how'd you lose the weight I say well I stopped eating after seven and I'm trying my best to ignore carbs in the house. I don't say oh all glory to God. There's a lot of things I do where I'm not really thinking about God and Christ and that's actually okay he's still in it and I'm thankful. But I'm not trying to be the most humble person in the world or remember to give glory to God or anything like that I'm just being me. If you want to talk about God I'll talk about God. But I'm not going to stuff him into every situation and make sure that everybody knows that I didn't do anything. I'm not that spiritual. And I've always found it annoying when people say oh it's entirely from all the glory goes to God. There's people who would disagree with this approach but I guarantee you they're super religious. God is not always demanding credit. He does so many things in our life that will never even know until we see him.

@davidbenjamininchrist thank you. The part of me that I just have to reconcile. Ever since I was a child, I've told people about Jesus. I cannot NOT talk about him. When you grow up and legalism, though, then you worry that you must talk about Him. This isn't coming from a must, but it is coming from a place of "I don't understand how *you* don't want to talk about my favorite subject in the whole world. It's why I am lonely most days, but I'm never alone.

I’m a little late into this conversation. Does this-will power- apply to any perceived harmful habits? In that we do have choices in our everyday life to take better care of ourselves, to make better decisions? I am a little confused on all of this, cause I have bad habits and know others who struggle with bad habits and we go back and forth saying let the Lord work in us, transform, renew us don’t be mindful of our bad habits, or our mental health/brain issues, just keep our minds on Christ! I get a little stuck cause I’m like, we do have a choice to pay attention to crap that is harmful and take steps to manage them differently? And to encourage each other to take those steps. It’s like a friend of mine gave thanks to God for a parking spot-or giving thanks for choosing to eat an apple vs an order of French fries…over spiritualizing? On a more serious note if someone has a porn addiction do they just wait on the Lord or are they responsible for taking steps? Or a smoker or whatever the addiction is. And is it ‘wrong’ to be grateful for the better decisions one may make? Thanks

BS Clarification: (Before Salvation or Beaten Sheep as she tries to reconcile being lied to her entire life (faith plus works) Do I have this correct? I wouldn't say that the knowledge of Good and Evil is the same as the law. But our response to it is very similar to our response to the law Now That We're In the Flesh. Paul says the law is spiritual and good and holy so I don't know that it's the same thing I'm always careful about that I don't want to totally make that connection cuz we don't have enough ground for it in the scripture
