We "bind and loose" by our life of love. Evil flees or is bound when we love as He lived. The Holy One is loosed as we love "in Him."

Pastor David, LaNett and I thank God for your gift and willingness to share it. I had the thought that the mention of binding and loosing in Matt 16 is even simpler. Jesus knew what would be done and how the church would form. He knew the Spirit would direct rules and formation. Therefore, his comments were not so much granting authority as it was prophetic. Jesus was saying He knew the actions that would be taken, rules, etc, that would be created to contain the church, and those actions were already approved in heaven.

Could you please explain what it means to "plead the blood of Jesus" This is often used in a supernatural way to assure the protection. People may plead the blood of Jesus over their home or even personal possessions. Thank you

That phrase is not found in scripture, but I would imagine that people say that as a faith claim, and as the receiving of a promise such as Romans 8:28. It certainly has become a popular phrase among many Christians, but it isn't in the Bible, though I understand what people are trying to accomplish by using it. I would think that simply quoting the promises found in Scripture would be more appropriate. I hope that this helps.

How should I respond to my church doing a “loot & scoot” event Halloween night? This is the enemy’s high day. There are many coven’s in our area. Our leaders are wanting to present a welcoming, neighborly atmosphere…..offering a safe place for families to get treats & hot chocolate. Isn’t this a mixed message? Compromise? Joining in the world’s celebrations?

There are many churches that take advantage of the Halloween celebration to meet people in the community. Some churches give away children's Bible, etc., to every family that attends. Each church leadership group needs to follow their convictions before God, but in my opinion, I don't think that this is a compromise with the world. I think it is an example of being as wise as serpents, but as gentle as doves. People wants safe places to take their children to have little fun. The church can seize upon this opportunity, and make friends with the people in their neighborhoods. I hope that this helps!

In Act 19:13-20, we see an example of brothers misusing and misrepresenting the power of Jesus to exercise authority over a demon as sport only to be overpowered by it. Even demons in this passage know who walk with the authority of Jesus and who do not. To be brazen and ignorant to evil is to be spiritually immature and and not well versed in the Word. God tells us in Romans 16 to be innocent to things of evil. God has gifted some through the work of the Holy Spirit to deal with such matters of demonic influence, but it is a work of God not man.

Flat earthers believe the earth is a flat circle... so that verse doesnt do much. Actually if the earth is round then it would be impossible for him to be 'above' it because he would be technically under a certain percentage of people

Whatever the answer, one must be called by God. I'm afraid too many in pastoral positions today have not been called by God. We need more like Pastor David in Christian churches. Anyone who can teach the Psalms like David is someone I feel a certain level of trust with. I say this as an SDA convert 😊. God bless you and your future in ministry 🙏

A pastor has to rule the household well. While he can't force them to become believers, he can make certain they behave themselves. How they dress, or speak, or lewd behavior, etc, while living in the pastor's home is unacceptable. Once they become adults and move out, the pastor is not responsible for their actions. Well, that's how I see it.

Bind and Loose are Rabbinic terms. It meant to permit or forbid. They were used when a congregation was establishing Halakha. Yeshua was saying in Matthew 18 that whatever decision congregational leaders made regarding the discipling of a member, whatever was allowed or prohibited would be backed up in Heaven. Sadly, misinformed Christians have twisted Matthew 18 into something very unbiblical. The reference to two or three gathered together in the name of Yeshua had nothing to do with prayer. It had everything to do with leadership enforcing the rules of that congregation. Matthew 18:15-19 clearly is referencing a brother who has sinned against a fellow congregant, but will not deal with his fault. The good thing is that Yeshua is restoring the proper Jewish context back into the New Testament. 2,000 years of false teaching has greatly damaged the Word of God.

Is false teachings from some Christians to tell other beginning Christians to engaged in a spiritual battle againts Satan. I got attacked by Satan and his demons because of this false teachings. Then I found out that not even the Archangel Michael dare to rebuke Satan. Michael said the Lord rebukes you. Because of this attacked by Satan now I wonder if I am save.

Wait, so why are you questioning your salvation? Attacks by Satan aren't indications of being lost. Paul had to deal with a "thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me". What did Paul say was the reason that God allowed this harassment?..."lest I should be exalted above measure." Apart from God, your heart is desperately wicked. Your character as a Christian, if you are walking in the spirit, is being constantly refined. It must be refined or you will not enjoy the pure atmosphere of heaven; heaven's purity would be unbearable. We need both the imputed AND the imparted righteousness of Christ. Christianity today is mostly about the imputed righteousness of Christ and very little attention is placed upon the imparted righteousness of Christ. This is no small issue. The severe trials we face through satanic attacks is an indication of the severity of the unseen battle we are in, not an indication of God's displeasure with us or our lack of acceptance with God. Even the thorns and the thistles were brought forth for our benefit and our character development. Our character is the only thing we leave this Earth with - we must be transformed here and now.
