We absolutely LOVE the 2 frame NUCs. They get used a lot with us. Good for walk away splits, taking a split then adding a queen, or banking queens! Yes sir, definitely love them!

Would you be able to share the construction plan for a 2 frame nuc?

I love 2 frame nucs. I use queen castle which is 4 chambers of 2 frames in a 10 Langstroth box. Like 4 of your 2 frame nucs attached. Every chamber has its entrance on another side of the box. Works just fine and you can use it over and over making many queens.

David, I believe you have to be licensed by the state of Georgia to do a “cutout.” A swarm catch is ok but, if you have structure involved, you need to licensed and insured. Great video. Thanks

This is the best method to make a few queens I never graph i can get 6 frame nuc and get 10 to 15 cells

@barnyardbees hello. Ordered some bees from you earlier in the month. Well the bees decided to build their comb in the opposite direction of the of the frames! They’re doing great but with the comb going the wrong direction we’re not sure what to do. We don’t want to disturb them too much but it’s making it impossible to view how the their doing now. Lol. Any tips / help would be awesome

I've been thinking about these, and I wonder, instead of taking a chance that a frame of bees can re-queen itself, why not let a strong colony with lots of workforce and resources produce many healthy queen cells by pulling that queen, and then making up 2-frame nucs with a frame of bees each along with a QC you cut? Wouldn't that be putting the odds more in your favor of having high quality cells?
