@david I keep asking Rick beato to do a what makes this song great with you . Your much more than a song of course, the music you create is so beautiful , 🤘🏼🙏
@nathanaelcole8466 Жыл бұрын
That would be awesome! Rick needs to get away from mainstream and popular music now and explore off the beaten path. He did that awesome three way interview with Devin, John P., and Tonsi, that was a good start.
@Plastidon Жыл бұрын
Rick did have plini and Arron Marshall on , but for me David is in a different league musically , at least Rick is letting the masses see there’s amazing talents that play guitar etc

The "The Story Behind..." series would be amazing to watch!!! I recently realized how, beyond stories, most of my own pieces are related to people dear to me... and now I've begun preparations to do a sort of "podcast" in which I have a chat with one of those people-during which I explain the story behind the piece, discuss/explore its themes with them, and perform it for them. I'm also considering releasing some of my music in this way in the future. I leave this idea here in case it might be worth exploring for you. Stay fab!

"hmmmm" is all we get on Destiny Potato?! Hidden message or some background I am not privy to? How about Organized Chaos, I got the impression that was more Vladimir's baby and he asked you to join, but Divulgence is one of my absolute favorite albums ever.

You said at 21:02 about having everything going through iPads - that made me think of Tesseract, they have everything going through one laptop which manages all their patch changes and click tracks. Gear Gods did a video on their touring setup and Amos (the bassist) spoke about the rig, maybe that's the sort of thing you want? They're also one of my favourite bands, so that would be cool if you could collaborate with them for your rig!
@DavidMaximMicic Жыл бұрын
Oh, I've been doing the laptop rigs ever since I started touring. But iPad rig would be even lighter, simpler, could have a few backup rigs just in case. Will definitely start looking into it as soon as I get some shows scheduled :)

was cry at all inspired by bleed by meshuggah? that's what I heard the first time I listened. who are your musical inspirations, I've noticed you take a lot from yourself and your interpretation and use it as inspiration? happy new year and take care!
@DavidMaximMicic Жыл бұрын
At this point that rhythmic figure has become such an iconic Meshuggah pattern, it would be dishonest if I said that it wasn’t inspired by them. Inspirations are changing all the time, the ones I mentioned in the video are tied to this period :)
@vapingcringe Жыл бұрын

We definitely need story times for the songs, who plays bass on your albums BILO III & IV, So glad you showed that part on “Cry” at first I thought it was bass thanks for this David!!

@@DavidMaximMicic that wasn’t real bass?? That tone tho sounds so real, all them sick slides while it’s jacked up so we’ll in the mix, it’s pushed up front so much! I love it! I thought it was a Kiesel bass I’ve seen you have one posted on your IG

Hi, David! How are you? Just wanted to ask: For a broke person like myself, would a HX Stomp or a Kemper Profiler Player and a Headrush FRFR 108 would do the job as an all-in-one rig for home studio/rehearsals/live? Would appreciate the answer!
@DavidMaximMicic Жыл бұрын
I don't have any experience with the other two, but HX Stomp is such a good option if you're on a budget. I used to run Helix Native live from my laptop on a few tours and enjoyed its tones a lot. Make sure to grab some good quality IRs to make your life easier whatever you end up going with. All best!
