Been to Jamaica 3 times, never once had bad food or bad jerk chicken, the love that's put in cooking the food is the same love you get from the locals. I love everything about it. A wonderful place to visit. Montego Bay, Nigril, Ocho Rios are my favorites.

His dad was NOT from Delaware. He was from England. Although there are also rumours he was born in Jamaica as well. But Delaware, definitely not. Bob moved there during the turmoil in Jamaican politricks… Great video all the same. Makes me. Want to go again…And now, thanks to your whistle stop video, we going again. One Love!

David"s been there, l admire you are visiting the birth place of the Famous Reggie Artist The Great Bob Marley. It seems very beautiful and quieter. I think they should have some small Inns or Guest Houses or Hotels to accommodate the various guests that visit that place. They should have different types of businesses to help the locals, who lives there. That would therefore boost the economy. In the Dry Harbour Mountains of St. Ann is very beautiful. They need some cottages who writers who want to write, and rewind. David, l can see that you loved Jamaica and it's people. Keep exploring and giving us great contents to look at. Keep Up The Good Work. Blessings.

It's been challenging, to say the least. Love your food tours! I would love to see what your camera crew & tour guides/drivers eat as well. It's such a good video!! Thanks for sharing. It brought back memories of the vacation I had last year with my sisters, nieces and my mother. We wanted to take my mother abroad on vacation after my father's passing, so last year was our chance. To this day, she still says how beautiful Jamaica is. She loved the people, culture and the food. She still says, "That was the best vacation of my life!"😂❤ Juci's Patties is where it's at! The best Jamaican beef patties you will ever have!!!! My family and I had them in Jamaica when we visited Runaway Bay. Like my niece, Maya says: Tia, this is bussin! 🤣🤣🤣 🤣She's been craving them since! lol Having a mixed cultural background, we season our food very well. I can make a mean oxtail with rice and peas!! 😜 Curry goat with split pea roti is my jam. Oh, and mannish water!!! LMAO! if you know, you know! And my niece Maya's is Oxtail. 👌🙌👏 The Sousa’s love Jamaica!!

You visit so often that I feel like you've picked up some of our mannerisms. Lol When you asked the driver if it was his most memorable Bob Marley experience, that look on your face after to the camera man (25:50)... priceless! Jamaicans would do the same thing when we ask someone and question and want to see if they will "sweet mouth" us. 🤭 Thanks for sharing your trip.

Captain is the best and I am privileged to call him, his son Marley and all of Bob Marley’s sons that I’ve met so far as genuine friends! I think you said you had not been there in 18 years and so much changes every year that I go… I’ve been 9 times in the past two years. And I don’t stay in resorts in Mobay or anywhere on the coast anymore… I stay in 9 mile with Captain Crazy…(Yoto/Wilbert Brown)…or some of his family. It is awesome I think for you to post this video but at the same time, and this is just my opinion, of course, but it, along with so many other videos that have to do with Bob Marley and Nine Mile make it way too commercialized.Yes, the people of 9 mile can use and appreciate any money that can help them and the economy that they are living in. However, most videos like this, only tell about Bob Marley and Captain crazy and other people that live there or mention tho coast of Jamaica. Even Captain Crazy lives in poverty although people see him as a celebrity in a sense because without him there, the whole vibe would b different. 9 mile is full of poverty with no running water…have u experienced actually staying in 9 Mile…even if only for one night? It is eye-opening and THAT is what I personally feel like people need to see. I appreciate you doing this video on Bob Marley but there are tons like this out there. I think that what would really make a difference would be making a video of the reality of 9 mile that is only a two or three minute walk away from Bob’s birthplace/mausoleum. And even though there is so much hype about Bob Marley… granted, it is well-deserved and Bob Marley and family have made a big impact on mine and my child’s life…these people still live this way because that money does not go back to helping people in the community. Again, I do appreciate your video, showing very, very briefly what Brownstown, Alexandria, 8 mile, and 9 mile are about but it focuses on the tourist attraction of Bobs home which obviously makes a killing…but sadly, the people only a short walk away don’t reap any benefits of the tours in 9 Mile, but the focus always seems to leave out the community itself that a HUGE impact on Bob ever since he was a child. I apologize for my comment ending up so long, but even though all of the Marleys had and have had a profound influence on my life, I can’t forget the genuine people of 9 mile. Just a thought, but I think it would be such a positive experience for everyone if you made an additional video that was obviously focused on the Bob Marley tourist attraction, but also went beyond that. I don’t know if you make money off of your videos or not, But it would be great to see money go into the community itself. I don’t know you and does happen to come across your video. But if you’d ever like to talk about possibly doing a video that elaborates more on the community where Bob grew up, I would be happy to help! I hope you didn’t take this the wrong way… That was not my intention. But I am obviously passionate about the people in 9 mile as well as Bob Marley.!
