Absolutely masterful. I have made hundreds of McPhail caddis over the years. Whenever I give friends flies I always add a McPhail caddis or two. Friends, and the trout, find them irresistible. They're really not too difficult to make for a competent tier, but they never fail to impress.

Fantastic wee pattern, tied beautifully as usual. I have tied many of your caddis patterns and they just work a treat. I think between the grey and the golden olive hews, they took a fair few trout in 2024. Hope you and the family have a great Christmas and prosperous 2025.
