One of the better Fusion credit tutorials on YT for sure. That Character Level Styling is great. I normally bring credits in as a full length tiff file, but I will be looking into Fusion more now. One thing not sure if you realised, but you can click on one of the numbers in the value area, and increase/decrease using the up/down arrows, using the selected number column chosen for really broad or very precise measurements. Nice work.

It may be obvious but it took me a few tries to figure out how to adjust scroll speed. Just go back to the 2nd keyframe (frame 2) and increase the absolute value to speed it up or decrease it to slow it down. This tut has been very helpful several times so thank you for making it. It would be cool if you'd add chapter markers but it's still good.

Thank you for a really well made and easy to follow tutorial. I've done everything as instructed using 3px perf frame but the credits still seem to have a slight jitter so wondering if any of the settings depend on the timeline frame rate or resolution? I shoot at 25fps in 4K (UHD). Thanks!!
@ColorGradeDigital2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. It must be an error of some sort. You could try either 2 or 3 pixels per frame to avoid flicker.

@@ColorGradeDigital , if you specify your Y to 6 significant digits it should get rid of the flicker. So 1400.000000 instead of 1400.0, and 1397.000000 instead of 1397.0. Also if you choose more than 3 pixels per frame, the scroll will be faster.

@@ColorGradeDigital I saw a tutorial from Paul Saccone "Credit Roll Tutorial" that showed the same but was a little too fast for me. Your video was easier to follow. He does explain details about the pixel amount, and he did say the same as Rick Gates does about the 0 behind the dot.

Hi, I tried adjusting the length of the credit roll in the edit page, but it still moves at the same slow pace, but cuts off early so I don't see the full credits. How do I speed up the credits? Thanks!

WHAT IF I WANTED THE TEXT TO COME UP EVEN SLOWER WHAT SHOULD I DO? AND THIS WAS AMAZING BTW LEARNED A LOT A LOT THANK YOU FOR THAT
@ColorGradeDigital2 жыл бұрын
To adjust the length of the credit roll all you have to do is to extend the clip's length in the edit page.
@MarquesMallare Жыл бұрын
Can you make it 6 or 9 pixels?

I follow everything but the text wont come out😭

So why three pixels? Would 1, 2 or 4 work just as well?
@ColorGradeDigital2 жыл бұрын
It could either be 2 or 3 pixels because the only real way to achieve flicker-free rolling credits is to create a roll that moves either by 2 or 3 pixels per frame. It's crucial that the roll doesn't move at a sub-pixel rate. It should use integer values or whole numbers. This is true for every software you use. When you're creating rolling credits to avoid flicker, you can't arbitrarily set keyframes because that might result in fractional position values and create flicker in your credit roll. Hope that answers your question.

what if you want to make a paragraph scroll but you want it a ling on both sides
@imtiazokc65222 жыл бұрын
what if i want the credits to move a little faster than 3 pixels?
@ColorGradeDigital2 жыл бұрын
It has to be either 2 or 3 pixels. However, if you'd like for your credit roll to be faster you could always change and play with the duration of the clip. As for where the credit roll ends that can be done by adjusting your Center X and Y keyframes.
