@@GOROSSI46 ez fix go Into export press file it'll be next to audio and video then when your in file scroll down to render speed and put it at 75 or 50 and it will be fixed ....... And this problem happens because your pc is trying to render faster than it can handle so your pc is overloading itself.

Should mention once you're done -- hit those 3 dots and "save as custom render settings", so you don't need to do this every time.

At 5:11 when you add to render queue, that warning message is telling you you're not actually processing in 4K. Basically, you're exporting a 1080P video (or whatever your timeline is) and stretching it out to 4K size. If your footage was originally in 4K, you're essentially downconverting it and exporting in "big 1080P."

This codec setting is a huge help. I’m making a 4K short film and it was hard finding the right settings. Came out EXACTLY the same as how I edited it. Crisp and smooth. Big thanks!!!

Encoder on native only if you have a crappy video card but a high end processor. I'm using a RTX2080 so set the encoder on NVIDIA. It will speeds up de processes quite a bit. Also when rendering to quicktime .mov your video looks better then mp4 on youtube. mov is much larger though.

@TimRoijers if I used quicktime .mov instead of mp4 would that solve the issue of the video not taking up the full screen on mobile when phone is turned sideways? Like on an iPhone? I used the first set of settings in Billy’s video, not the 4K ones because the footage was shot in 1080p.

@Tim Roijers - great tip!, thanks for that. If you don't have, check the hardware accelleration in the system settings on a windows machine (Sometimes it can be set off). That doubles the render speed.

Just change your timeline resolution at the end before you render it out. You won't lose any quality as long as the original clips are 4K

Please help : I always shoot 1080p 30fps videos with my IPhone 11. The original Bitrate of those files are 15000 Kb/s for H264, and 10000 Kb/s for H265. So when I export at 30000 Kb/s, the quality is great but file size is really big. I tried export at 20000Kb/s but the quality is a little bit bad for my taste. Should I just use 30000 Kb/s ? I upload mainly to KZbin and TikTok but still want to have the best quality

Good video Billy, thanks. You are right about the rendered Mp4 video not looking as good on KZbin. Why is this? You did not tell us how to improve the KZbin quality or if there is a way. I am a fan of a KZbin channel and I know the filmmaker used the SonyFDR x3000 action camera just like mine. The quality of his KZbin videos is better than mine. Why? I thought it is because the free version of Davinci did not export in 4K but the literature says it does. My Mp4 files looks goods so it seems my videos lose it in the uploading.

hey good vid billy. i recorded all my clips in 4k & used your settings & they make complete sense! after up loading to youtube then waiting serval hours later it became an option to view in 4k! i know youtube decompress the shit out of videos making video quality go down especially if your not a verified youtuber with huge following. im still seeing difference in quality from viewing on my pc compared to youtube after your settings.

Hey man! Glad the settings helped! With youtube compressing the crap out of files you will still see a drop in quality after you upload regardless of the settings you use. These settings just make it look cleaner when viewing in 1080p. Unless you are a big youtuber like you mentioned, youll still have to see some sort lack in quality :/

Render just one, each are different qualities so if you were to render all 3 you’d get 3 different videos

I use RAW file upload to KZbin and its make better quality than any one. If you have KZbin upload speed 100Mb/s like me or greater whereby use RAW.
