Reading through the notes on the Pugetbench results, they suspect that there are still some bugs with the drivers which is limiting performance in some of the resolve tests. Fingers crossed that they work it out soon.

NVidia RTX 5000 series has a new 9th gen media engine with support for 4:2:2 encode and decode. That's going to be a major boost for NVidia, as 4:2:2 has always been slow to edit, a problem that video editors and creators complained a lot about, and yet 4:2:2 became the new standard for many cameras such as the Sony Alpha line. RTX 5000 series finally fixes this. "NVIDIA is collaborating with Adobe Premiere Pro, Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve, Capcut and Wondershare Filmora to integrate these technologies, starting in February."

Thanks bro. Raw codecs performance could be due to lack of drivers support in DaVinci might improve over time but can’t say for sure. Also more tests like FPS in Unreal Engine, Blender, VFX software rendering, AI workloads support and performance like Llama and Images generation, I think intel provides their own suite

Awesome! I don't play games and I only care about Resolve, so this video is perfect for me. I do a lot of Fusion but the scores are soooo close and I'm not sure if 4 point difference is worth the $150 price increase for the 4060TI. The other benefits of more VRAM and better LongGOP score might even more than make up for it. The other thing I'm interested in is the AI/neural features for things like magic mask, upscaling, etc. I upscale every video and I would make a lot more use of if my system could handle it better. Currently I'm only using Intel integrated graphics... yeah, I know! 💀 But the cost of cards have been so insane that it hasn't felt worth purchasing yet because I don't make any money off my videos (I primarily make fanvids/AMVs for fun on a joint channel I share with my sister, which we can never monetize since all the material we use is under copyright). It just didn't feel worth it to put more than my entire computer is worth into a graphics card. But $250 is a reasonable price point, so I'm very excited about this card! 😃
@GreyDeathVaccineАй бұрын
Another win for Intel. They need it badly.
@Tekkerue29 күн бұрын
@@GreyDeathVaccine At this point, I honestly don't care who else gets a win as long as nvidia taks the loss. I've been using Resolve for almost 3 years now and I have put off buying a graphics card the entire time hoping that something would finally give and the card prices would come down, but they haven't. Nvidia is such a horrible company and I really do not want to give them a dime, so I'm very happy to see good alternatives.

Greetings brother, How about the comparison between an Intel Arc B580 vs Rtx 3060 12 gb, to work with 4k video editing without proxies with H.265 and H.264 files in Davinci and Premiere? Is it necessary to have an Intel processor with IGPU to decode and encode the files I mentioned?

I'm surprised this doesn't have more views. I found out last year when I was building my Plex server that even the low-end Intel cards were great for high-quality video encode/decode so you would think with the 12gb of VRAM and the hype battle mage has gotten, content creators would be doing more video editing benchmark videos
