I really like the "Argonautic" model. I have a pretty decent collection and I think this would be a great add-on. It's hard to find a quality timepiece for every day use. This is a great watch because it compliments any watch collection, but it is still be good enough to use as a daily-driver. The biggest problem with daily-drivers today is that most are too cheap to rely on and quality timepieces always make one feel apprehensive about using them every day. This is a great in between piece that you can feel good about using daily, but also be confident that you can rely on it because it is also a quality timepiece. I will definitely consider this watch. It seems to have everything I am looking for in a timepiece right now!

So, the Auto GMT version has a sellita (not that I have first hand experience with, but isn't the Sellita the affordable ETA?). Mineral crystal, 200m water res and almost $800. On the other hand you have the Steinhart Auto GMT with a ETA2893-2, AR sapphire, 300 M water res, an insane jubilee bracelet and it's only $500. What exactly is Davosa better at? I think the ternos is a submariner homage watch. Kind of looks like it. I have no idea if it is worth nearly 800 dollars when you can find similar to the same movement around 500 dollars. But I am no expert and hard to tell without the watch in hand to see and feel the quality. Marc, I wish you the best on selling them.

for the GMT Davosa, the unidirectional bezel is actually an advantage, because it could still be used as a dive timer, one would just have to eyeball the bezel and figure out that 12=30minutes etc.

everybody is doing rolex GMT or submariner homages nowadays... I think the price quality of Steinhart is very good and dont see a reason to start spending more on a “davosa”. I now have 8 steinharts: 2x GMT 42 , GMT 44, 2x Ocean One military, Ocean One 39, nav-B, Ocean One Explorer. And I like every one of those watches. The Davosa Ternos I could consider since it looks okay, but at that price I would go for a Squale 1545 And... can you give already some hints on your “island watch”?!

The first diver is nice. It’s more Seamaster than Sub. I like all brushed cases more than the brushed/polished combo. Congrats on getting PADI certified. That’s really cool. Getting into watches has also got me semi-interested in Scuba history. It’s also very interesting

I bought a Davosa Ternos Professional about a year and a half ago. It's the bigger version with 500 meter water resistance and He release valve. It was very well made, looked and ran great. But that model was WAY too thick and heavy for me. Made me understand the thickness issues people have with the Tudor Black Bay. I have several other 42mm watches, none are nearly as uncomfortable. Had to sell it off. If I get another Davosa, it will definitely be the smaller Ternos.

Hi Darren. You are in rarefied air! So I am to purchase one of the two brands in March. I am comparing the Steinhart Titanium GMT vs Davosa GMT Batman. So since you own both, you have observed Davosa as the better quality watch? I value your opinion. My only negative with Davosa is that their GMT is 15.5mm thick! Compared to Steinhart 13mm. Part of that is Davosa's use of the 1mm thicker 2893 movement (vs 2824-2). What do you think?

Very nice homages, but if you're going for "this look" at an affordable price on your wrist, why not go for Stuhrling? Those quartz pieces can be had for under $100. I have the red/blue & black/blue bezel combinations and they look / run great.

I've liked them for years and years. The first one is great I hate the fau vintage lume. I collect gmts but that ol lume is a deal breaker With the gmt take the bezel off and the ring and it will be uni directional Divers with the Propeller logos 😂 Way better then Steinhart Err you wear watches on your bone!!? Oh my! 😂 Always like even if I am not into the vid. Everything helps and you making the vid alone deserves a 👍

When i have my ternos on the wrist eueryone of watch interesting peoples think it is a rolex- it is a high quality homage for the price. And it have a eta 2824-2. I got it new for 610€ in germany. In my opinians its a little bit more quality than steinhart, the bit more like the price is a bit more. Thanks for great content and best wishes from bavaria! I had an argonautic a few years ago,, nothing but trouble with it,.. The bezel was loose, the crown came out, and it was a really bad time keeper.. It was returned to the factory for repair /regulation, etc (twice). It was still a really bad time keeper, so in the end, the dealer gave me a full refund... Just my experience,, I won't be getting any Davosa 's in the future,...

I've got the Ternos profesional black and grey since a last year. Big, a bit heavy but I love it. When I bought it I tried the Longines Conquest, Certina DS diver and the Hamilton Frogman. I don't regret my decision.

I'm not so sure I like how many of their models are just Clones of "Higher end" pieces. Batman clone(they even take the hour hand from Rolex, Seamaster Clone, Tudor clone bang for the buck is def there...but I feel like you should really stay away from these as when it comes time to offload them for make room for other purchases...you'll have a hard time making up the gap since they won't hold value. I'll reiterate, the quality looks to be there per dollar on initial cost, so I'm not hating, just analyzing. NOTE: also the dude who is eyeing the Maurice Laroixe Aikon...basically a Royal Oak clone :-/
