The green booger ghost is Slimer. After the original movie, a popular Ghostbusters cartoon series ran for several years. Slimer became a fan-favorite character and the franchise's mascot through the cartoon, featuring prominently in Ghostbusters marketing and merchandising. Hi-C's green Slimer-themed Ecto Cooler citrus beverage was a lunchbox staple for many school kids in the 80's and 90's. Slimer became so popular that the cartoon series was revamped in its later seasons as "Slimer and The Real Ghostbusters" in order to focus more directly on him.

The child labor laws in the US limit the amount of time children may work, so children in films and on TV are usually played by twins or lookalike siblings so that filming can go on longer without the individual children working longer than is allowed. FWIW, Vigo didn't choose Oscar. When Vigo told Janosz he needed a baby Janosz thought to offer him Oscar, hoping that Vigo would reward him with Dana.

Babies between 6 months and 2 years can 'on film set' for no more than 2 hours per day & working in front of the camera no more than 20 minutes per day. 2 to 6 year year olds can 'on set' for no more than 3 hours per day & working in front of the camera no more than 40 minutes per day. & The 40 minutes per day is questionable, you can follow the 3/40 child schedule 'on short shoots'. Got a 3 or 6 month shoot? No way in hell is a 2yr old allowed on set 3 hours a day & working 40 minutes a day for 6 months straight. & Weekly broadcast TV has a whole different set of rules.

"Is that his brother?" Actually, yes, that psychiatrist was in fact his IRL brother lol. Bill Murray would regularly get his brother into movies he was doing when he could. Remember Groundhog Day? His brother played the guy who was the groundhog's handler/presenter who Bill Murray's character later saved from choking. Babies and very young child roles almost always have to be done by twins due to child labor laws restricting how many hours a day they can work. The only exception might be if the role is small enough that the baby gets very little screen time.

Due the success of the Real Ghostbusters cartoon at the time, the studios wanted Ghostbusters 2 to be more family friendly (less swearing, no smoking etc) but this movie turns out to be more darker and scarier than the first. Dawn, to get over your fear of Marshmallow Man (MM) you need to break the connection of the memory of him and the emotions connected to those memories. One method would be when you go to bed to think about him and make friends with him and get him to be friendly back , sing the ghost busters song together or something in that vein. Alternatively , prove you are more powerful than him by pretending your pillow is MM and punching the hell out of him every night. Also get partner or friend to dress up as MM then play act beating him up while partner says things like " leave me alone you big bully you are too strong for me " as he collapses to the floor and crawls away to hide in the corner. Hope this helps!

@TheWizardsTales17 күн бұрын
The reason the ghosts look so different is because of what's called a residual psychic manifestation. Slimer is a fat blob because his sin in life was gluttony. The Scoleri Brothers were sick and twisted murderers, so they appeared monstrous. The jogger was just a jogger... his ghost is what we call "revenant psychic activity..." it's not so much a ghost as it is a psychic imprint (EDIT: and automatic playback) of events and emotions that happened over and over again in a place. These aren't the official Ghostbusters canon reasons... I'm a Wizard. I know ghosts. (SECOND EDIT: Also, the reason Dana and Oscar were targeted in this movie was just because Dana was working at the same art studio where the portrait of Viggo was being kept. However, the reason she was already haunted does have to do with some deeper Ghostbusters canon lore: it was because she had lived for years in a special building built by the insane architect Ivo Shandor, who had built the building as a conduit for occult energy. Her apartment in particular was at a core nexus point of this arrangement, which is why she saw Zu'ul in her fridge.)

A couple of movies I think you would like is Groundhog Day or Stripes. The guy who played egon came up with ghost busters among those other movies. He passed away a couple of years back. Him and Bill Murray had a falling out and never worked together again.

It's true after "Groundhog Day" Harold Ramis & Bill Murray had a major falling out & 'never worked together'. However in the last days of Harold Ramis life. Bill Murry went to Harold Ramis home town, went to the Sheriff & said take me to Harold Ramis house. He did, Bill Murry stayed there & he & Harold Ramis spent a lot of quality time together & forgave each other before Harold Ramis passed away. Deep down inside I always thanked Bill Murry for doing that for Harold Ramis.

Ghostbusters began with Dan. Ivan brought Harold in to ground Dan's ideas as his original concepts would have cost a few hundred million to shoot.
