The speed and strength actually makes sense. I've always thought so. People are limited by instinct. Your brain won't let your body do something that will harm it. You can only sprint for so long because you get tired. When you get tired, your brain will stop you before you have a heart attack or pass out from lack of oxygen. A zombie wouldn't have any kind of self preservation instinct. It would keep going as long as the muscles were intact and even try to keep going after the muscles were destroyed. Not even broken bones would slow them down. They would just go until the body was mechanically broken to the point of non-functionality.

This is a decent zombie movie but it has NOTHING to do with the book it was "based" on. World War Z is arguably the GREATEST zombie story ever put to print! The book is a bunch of different people's stories during the zombie wars... and the zombies weren't like the zombies in the movie either. They were more like George Romero or Walking Dead zombies. If you're into reading you should check the book out! It's written by Max Brooks... the son of Mel Brooks!!! Yes THAT Mel Brooks!!!

Sadly the original film script closely followed the plot of the book however the film studio scrapped it and hired another writer to create an entirely new story. Apparently they didn't want to offend Chinese government censors but the the film was still banned in China despite the changes. Serves them right!

Thomas’ dad was the one chasing Brad Pitt across the roof in the beige shirt that the soldier shot. I would like to assume that Thomas’ parents last act was to get him past the “zombies” that were busting into the apartment to escape❤. Brad Pitt told the Dr to take his finger off the trigger, that was so he didn’t accidentally pull it, he didn’t keep it off so when he fell… oops. I hated when the super cool badass gets bit on the ankle and he shoots himself so he doesn’t turn. This is my favorite Zombie movie. This is my first time seeing your reaction and from the comments it seems you are stopping. Good luck with whatever you do!

This is one of those rare instances in which I read the book _before_ I saw the movie and the two are about as different as they could be without making the title inaccurate. The book follows more along the lines of a chronicle written by a journalist, in the future, after a worldwide war between the living and the undead has ended. This journalist travels the world, interviewing people who worked and fought on different fronts and writes it all into his chronicle. It’s my understanding it was inspired by the book _The Good War,_ by Studs Terkel, which takes this same approach with WWII. There’s way too much to it to pack into a _single movie,_ though. Maybe a miniseries.

One of the best Brad Pitt movies I know you would love, is "Meet Joe Black". It also stars Anthony Hopkins, and has a very unique and excellent story. It's also got a supernatural twist, but that's all the details I'll give, but I think it'd be right up your alley.
@lazyperfectionist2Күн бұрын

22:15 "I didn't think it was possible to survive any plane crash." Except, in the real world, real plane crashes sometimes have no survivors, but sometimes most of the passengers survive. It mostly depends on whether the pilot makes a crash landing, like this pilot in the movie, or just a crash. One example is United Airlines Flight 232, July 19, 1989. Search for it. More than 60% of the passengers survived a crash landing when the plane lost almost all flight control at high altitude.

The most annoying part of this film was the scene in Israel. If the Israelis were so far ahead of the curve in recognizing a zombie outbreak, how could they not have known that sound triggers the zombies to go into a frenzy? And given the state of the world, with zombies on the other side of the wall, who would rationally start a chant over the PA? For morale? Give me a break. People would be somber and worried about their loved ones who are exposed and the sheer trauma of the event. No one would be singing or want to sing. Irrational scene.
