UNRWA Chief Says People In Gaza Are In ‘A Living Hell’ | Dawn News English

The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, described Gaza as a "living hell" and a "nightmare" for its 2 million inhabitants.
He condemned the "unprecedented failures of humanity" that have led to catastrophic hunger, malnutrition, and dehydration, resulting in children's deaths.
Lazzarini also warned of another tragedy unfolding in the West Bank, where over 500 Palestinians have been killed since October.
He emphasized the dire situation of Palestinian refugees in the region, living in poverty and limited rights, and expressed concern over UNRWA's shrinking operational space due to Israeli restrictions and legislative proposals aimed at dismantling the agency.
