I am amazed at your ability to go from one thing to another as if "so natural". You have so many things to deal with on a daily basis! I am glad to understand one lady helps you out inside, I wish you had someone to help you outside ( gates, garbage, fences, fallen trees). They’re going to grow so fast. Hopefully they all make it through adulthood. I didn’t know there where hatchery’s that were the equivalent to puppy mills 😳. We learn something new everyday. This is next level cuteness here ! 🐣 🐥 I can’t stand it. I know I said Happy Bday before but I didn’t realize it was 40!!! That’s awesome. It’s funny how people say you change at 40 not just your body but how you see life. I was like yeah right not overnight that will take years……I turned 40 and LITERALLY changed right away. I didn’t even realize it but I was much less tolerant of nonsense in Rey sort of life. And I gets less and less over the years I’m told. Looking forward to that! I don’t take no mess! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I wouldn’t use pine shavings until after 2 wks because chicks may eat it. I recommend doggy pee pads or paper towel so that if the feed sprinkles onto the ground, they can find it and eat it.

It always blows me away just how quickly chickens grow. It won’t be long before we see what they will look like as adults. Good for those impatient folks who just want to know now hahaha. Those giants sound amazing. Are they the ones you see on KZbin which are kind of white/grey and filmed coming out of the hen house, and you don’t realize their size till you see something f for scale? The dogs won’t be chasing those 😂😂😂 they will be chased instead lolol.

Yay! Happy 40th. I believe in celebrating for at least a week for the big years. And I love that you've moved into your intentionally giving yourself a day to just be where you are about your birthday and to give to yourself,and Hebrew celebrations by doing things you couldn't enjoy before. I've been doing that the last several years, and it's so nice to just wake up when you want to and take my time and just feel thru whatever comes up and decide if I want to take a bath, and go for a walk, great. But if I want to stay in my Jammies all day, or go get a massage, or talk to friends or just journal or distract or create, it's all great. Big love to you this big week! 💞🎊🎉🎂

I have had an aviary of canaries, quite different from chickens as they needed both parents to look after them after birth. A marvelous experience. After birth they have almost no feathers, so they look like poultry ready to be roasted.. Since then I have never been able to eat chicken unless already all prepared.

I really hope you're still able to build your dog kennel and that big obstacle course you said you were going to build. Without hiring help I'm not sure how one person can do it. You're going to be extraordinary really busy.

Remember you need to dip their beak into the water to show them what water is. Also be certain that they can actually get to the water. Sometimes the chick waterers are too tall for brand new chicks. Very important to keep snakes and rats away from chicks. Right now, if it is cold rats are more of a problem because they will kill baby chicks. Adorable. Who isn't in love with fuzzy baby chicks?

Happy Be-lated Birthday!! 40 is still young, the best mature years of your life. Now when you turn 50…. Every thing that can go wrong with you will show it’s face. Enjoy the 40’s ❤ I’m turning 55 in June and I’m telling ya right around the time I turned 50 all hell broke loose with my body. The only thing that was positive for me was finishing going through menopause which I started about 41ish (probably a little earlier ) is when it started and ended 53. Oh what a ride that was lol🤦🏼‍♀️ 🏳 I’m so happy you’re doing chickens, especially the silkys they’re gorgeous.

The little spots on the heads of these hatchlings may mean that they’re females. You may have created an auto sexed cross. Also, all breeds of domestic chicken are the same species, just different breeds, exactly the same thing as dogs. You don’t have to worry that you’re crossing different species. When grown they will all be fertile. The only thing is you can’t expect those first generation (f1) crosses to produce birds that look like them. I’m glad you decided to go to Greenfire and got the liege fighters. They are awesome little dinosaurs. Oh and Happy belated birthday.

Just wanted to say A) I hope you can step back and appreciate how much you’ve accomplished in life so far, I’m older now than you were when you had Savanah and I cannot imagine having a child, let alone being a single parent. The fact that Savanah has become such an obviously kind and caring person is really all anyone could ask of you, yet there are so so many amazing things you’ve done to be proud of. People in far far easier circumstances have taken their grievances out on others and made themselves everyone else’s problem, or just refused to get help and heal from what they were put through. You’ve truly made something of yourself and I hope you’re proud to be you 🥰 B) I’m coming up on my 28th birthday in a few weeks and I have so much in the works that I wanna do before I turn 30 - I’ve had such awful bad luck with jobs until now so I really need to get my career off the ground. When I’m 40 I think I’ll have a similar attitude, I want to enjoy my hard work!! I think having those goals help motivate me to do what needs to be done 💪
