@@SManSte I didn't notice where. But it forces you to put the big bonfire on a foundation with a roof. But when he tried to put the cooking campfire in there it wouldn't let him.

@@thanksfernuthin You don't need the little campfire, as that is only meant to get you through till you setup your base, with the large bonfire, which can cook all your items as well.

hey kage! some tips: - you can unlock recipes double clicking on the build menu, dont need to open manually. work also in workstations. - i use spears and shield, parry attacks are pretty efficient. you can do a lot of damage doing a finish move or use the time to heal. with a shield i think its easier to do a parry, but you can do with all weapons. - use the middle mouse button to lock on target, its easier to hit a spear throw. -press v on map to do a quick waypoint. you can also make permanent marks. i use especially to mark jaguars locations, to not running on them accidentally - tapyrs only agro when attacked, and those who guard ruins. -you can only spawn on lighted campfires. put a roof on them ow the rain will extinguish the fire. - take ages to find something on build menu. you can search, its way more quick -things only decay when not near a firepit -press z to favorite iitems. favorite items stays in your inventory even pressing the button to move all to storage. on build menu its also on top of the list. - no need to put buildings on hotbar, u can select on inventory an use "E" or right click and use. -label chest to hold only thing that u want on them. tools, food, etc. Press L. tribesman will put items on these first, than any unlabeled chest. -hold E on bonfire or others workstatios to select the fuel to be used, otherwise they would be using logs to fuel it. -you can set jogs at the bonfire, no need to run to the person you want to do something. - put chest on top of another, better use of space. - press f when putting a building piece, changes the connection position - no need for walls on bonfire, just roofs are ok. obviously, u need to put the roof on something, like a pillar. i do a round foundation and put the bonfire on center. make some space between the bonfire and the walls, tribesman will sit around it.

How do you save this game? I mean your progress. I don't get the option in the settings or when using the exit in the menu. Lost like 4 hours of gameplay and I cant figure it out.

You shouldn't have to save it. Singleplayer functions like a local server, so it all updates in real time, and saves in real time. I don't have an explanation for why you lost progress.

There is a walk toggle, I found it by accident lol. It is actually listed in the controls though.

Im liking the game so far. I do think in their attempt to make players be able to do more other than grind resources, they have made the menu system convoluted. I spend alot of time in menus now. Maybe i just need to learn the game more. I agree the UI is very busy. I also hope they come out with better controller support as when i play games like this, coming from conan exiles, i like to sit back, relax and play with a gamepad. I could make my own scheme, but having a more complete built in one would be nice.

I suspect they are still working out the building details. They need to do something similar to Conan Exiles, where you don't have to build the individual pieces. Just have the materials on hand.

Don't disable campfires. Fuel is plenty and it serves as respawn point. (you can put a campfire right before a tough battle)so if you die you don't respawn tok far.

I read some reviews on Steam and some of them are saying that there is decay to your world while you are offline. Unless they fix that I will not be playing this.

There is no decay as long as you have your bonfire running but that does mean you need to stock it up with wood before you log off and its a good idea to have a follower putting more wood in as well

I agree, 30 minutes for this game does not work, it is a lot slower paced than most other survival games, even with gather rates increased. I think 45min to an hour would be better, but I know Kage likes to follow the YT algorythms, so it will probably stay 30 min.

The only thing Conan Exiles really has going for it is a nice coat of paint. Soulmask has some lacklustre animation and the graphics aren't anything special. But under the surface, it's quite a bit more complex and interesting.

this game looks so bad! menus look so bad (not natural they look like cyberpunk 2077 in a survival game or pubg mobile) the combat system is so bad its like devil may cry, not natural. this guys knows how to create a game putting some good time, but they dont put some time on some small things that makes the game look warm and natural.
