Buying an extra hydraulic hose is usually cheap insurance for never having that problem again. 😂😂

Yeah well I’m glad I did as the other one had gone as well but I didn’t realise 😂 so now I don’t have a spare but both new

Us woodhounds really appreciate the regular videos mate, even down here in New Zealand. Looks like you're super busy heading into winter, we're also busy here heading into summer starting to produce next winter's firewood stock, and like you, trying to get ahead of things! All the best, I look forward to watching you!

Thanks! Yes spring is busy! Less time spent delivering and more time processing! I love it

Maybe get some pipe protectors on the forklift. Good work as always 👌🏼

Keep up the great work Archie I wish here in NZ we could buy wood the size you produce but nope it's 1/4 split pine
@oakfarmfirewoodАй бұрын
That’s a shame! I’m sure there is someone!

Thanks, will do!

That new machine looks good, the up and coming review sounds good. Why do most people leave it to the early winter to buy firewood? We cut our own thru the year but just don't see it....thanks for sharing....

A lot of my customers can’t source any timber don’t have the space and also can’t be asked. Keeps me in a job 👍🏼

Just on business development, if you have any local small sawmills, or sawmill hobbyists, perhaps you can offer a kiln drying service during the times of the year it’s not in use by Oak Farm? You have the facilities and equipment so…. Just an idea 😎
@oakfarmfirewoodАй бұрын
Nice idea but I believe these kilns get to hot and dry lumber out to quickly
@woodnewf3847Ай бұрын
@@oakfarmfirewood definitely. Lumber kilns are like bbq, slow and low.

The logs in the cages outside why don’t you cover the top cages to keep them a little drier?
@oakfarmfirewoodАй бұрын
We do???
@chap6595Ай бұрын
@ oh looking at the pile of cages it looks like the top isn’t covered! Enjoying your content from Aus. It’s amazing how light weight your wood is compared to Aussie hardwood.

Why haven't u put the cleaning hopper at the end of the conveyer ??? So u don't have to clean the baskets/bags out later on !!! Make & weld a pivoting Shute at the end , so u can put a few baskets/bags under it !!! Ur wasting production time double handling it !!!
@oakfarmfirewoodАй бұрын
True but I also don’t want to take up the roller cleaner as it’s used to do kiln dried bulk bags, I would spend more time moving the hopper every week than the odd bin of waste

If the wood is falling, you are a hauling. Cut, split, and bagged
