I don't know if this is the joke (I'm watching the video on mute and without context) but I do the same thing since I haven't gotten used to Linux yet and I don't know/don't trust uninstalling packages. Any installation or configuration error usually leads me to redo everything from scratch.

fastfetch is better and it's also being maintained still. The dev for neofetch stopped contributing to it and dumped the project, so I just aliased neofetch='fastfetch' in my bashrc file and uninstalled neofetch.
