A firm hair brush, you can pull out each little plastic bristle for hedgehog spines

That is a great idea. I am currently prowling around the house looking at all brushes. A paint brush might work as well.

Love the textured wallpaper for the ceiling,looks a lot like wattle and daub so could have lots of uses. Love looking in wallpaper and paint shops you never know what you'll find.Interested to see how Mr Pricklepin the hedgehog turns out in the end.Best wishes from Yorkshire dales England.

Coming along nicely, Jill. Like the kitchen ceiling and I'm sure your hedgehog will become true to form. Would toothbrush or broom bristles cut to size , poked and glued in work? Just a thought...TFS.

Question: How have you adjusted the chimneys now that the house overhangs at the sides? (Apologies if you've already answered, and I missed it)

I thought of that. The walls butt up against the chimney on both sides. So there will be recesses inside the room on either side of the chimneys for cupboards etc.
