Hedgehogs would be so challenging! I would probably use a mini bottle brush shaped in a ball, stick the hands feet and face on it and call it a day. lol You're so creative and I marvel at how you think of it and then do it. Good inspiration right there. Thanks very much for sharing.

Hello Jill, the Tudor house is going to look amazing, the extra jettied floorspace will give you a lot more room for the marvellous bed you made. Your Christmas project sounds adorable, I love hedgehogs, they along with Ladybirds are the gardeners friends for all nasty bugs they eat, they love shelled peanuts too, we used to get quite a few in our garden when we lived in a town, but we very rarely see them here by the farmland, there's plenty of food available for them so they don't need to come into the garden. Have a great rest of the week. Best Wishes from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 😊

Had never heard the term 'jettied' until the last few days!! Totally understand the description now. Very appropriate.

Love the way you are always thinking of the next project whilst you are in the middle of the major build of the Tudor house. The Christmas Hedgehog home sounds great with all those wonderful little characters, can't wait to see how it turns out and how you make the pines.Lots of people have used Teasels to make spiky Hedgehogs here in the UK,maybe there is something similar in New Zealand ? You definitely need a good sized bedroom to show off that fantastic Tudor bed you made, hope widening the first floor doesn't make the plans too complicated.Best wishes from Yorkshire dales England.

Another storey, another story and another staircase. Did you know that making the next and subsequent levels larger is called “jettying” being that the overhang is called a jetty? It is so interesting to watch you tackle these building obstacles and learn about new techniques .👏👏

Thank you Coby!! Never knew that term until now!!

I have given myself a bit of a problem as the floor needs to extend out now. Not sure how I am going to accomplish that at this stage. Some thinking is in order. Jettying out was probably not such a simple exercise in Tudor times either.

I think your hedgehogs are going to be adorable! If you are looking for names, the book The Hodgeheg by Dick King-Smith is based on a family of hedgehogs - the main character is Maximilian (Max) and his sisters are Pansy, Peony and Petunia. Looking forward to seeing your completed Christmas scene!
