I climbed Shuckstack two months ago. Steps were okay, but I definitely stayed off that "shakey" floor.

Hey I hope you know that I am reliving my youth through you. I have hiked most of the trail from Georgia up to Fontana. I am so excited to see what the next week's look like. If you had to tell me one thing that you wish you had brought and one thing that you brought and did not need what would those be. Good luck and keep us posted I talked to your dad tonight and he was very upbeat about his appointment on Monday

Wish that I had brought - maybe a couple hand warmers or a sleeping bag liner. Only took a couple of cold nights to make me wish I had something warmer! Brought that I haven’t used enough to be worth the weight - probably waterproof gloves. They made my hands so sweaty that it defeated the waterproofness of the gloves.

Major elevation today, but, three weeks in and you’re really progressing well. I really enjoyed the views, the flower close-ups, and your running commentary. Best Of Luck

Awesome 👏 you’re in the GSM ⛰ Great views from the fire tower, but I don’t think I’d like being in there. You done a great job on your tent ⛺️ You haven’t mentioned it so I wanted to say always look above your tent site for widow makers. I’m sure you know, but I’d rather say something than have you getting a tap on your noggin from a tree branch especially when storms or the winds a blowing… I’m excited to see more of your GSM ⛰ hiking 🥾

@5:29 It sounded like you ran into Al from Adventure Together here on youtube! Him, Emilee (Holy Roller), and Roby (Red Panda) all were on the AT this year, and I SWEAR it sounds like him saying "Ahhh christ!" right around 5:29. I think I mentioned this before but I'm going to send a thru hike attempt next year so i'm watching everyone's journey from start to finish :D You're next on the list to watch even though I think I watched your Katahdin summit day video already. anywho yeah I swear that is Al lol

Loving watching your videos. Just a small correction on "stealth camping" stealth camping is camping in a place that you are not permitted to camp. So if the Smokies do not allow you to camp there. Then you would be stealth camping if you did camp there in the wild. However if you camp in an area that does allow camping in the wild, then that is not "stealth camping" it is just camping. Keep going, your confidence is clearly growing now.

I've enjoyed your videos and since you are a Nashville girl, we are all pulling for you. My friend Ralston got on trail monday morning and i have challenged him to meet you if he can catch up to you. He is an awesome guy and we hiked together in Percy and Radnor to get him ready.

The park service cracks me up: you have 8 days, only camp where we say, oh but please enjoy our retired delapitated fire tower... Go Honey Bee!

Nice day! Thanks for the fire tower views. I have to ask what shoes you’re wearing? It’s the same pair that have endured the mud and snow, right? They looked like jogging shoes rather than a hiking boot. How in the world did your feet stay warm in those? Hope your heels are doing better. Thanks for videos.
@Maybe_Jessie2 жыл бұрын
They are the Hoka Speedgoats! They are trail runners, rather than boots. They dry out much quicker than the typical hiking boot

I kind of hope you're one of the last hikers to get such beautiful shots from up on that fire tower. That ancient thing is the epitome of decrepit at this point.

Not totally sure. I think there’s a potential for a fine if you’re stopped by a ranger, but I don’t know how much they enforce it.

Random candy...nice to have trail magic but beware of that lot of plastic covered candy just being more trash blowing around the trail.
