Each time we show up it’s a new day. Some days it’s as though all is seemingly in the flow, and some days it feels heavier, darker. Our practice offers us the opportunity to pay attention, to notice, and even prepare for the spills and the dark moments.
And while we cannot prevent them, nor should we, the dark moments are a part of life and of our existence. We can use these tools and our experiences on the mat to prepare for the tough moments.
And for the moments where healing occurs, or the moments where healing is possible.
The practice offers us the tools and awareness to help prepare us for the important moments on our journey.
You have been working hard. I think it is so beautiful and heroic for you to keep showing up in this way, it’s not easy. It is remarkable, and you are building a habit for utmost wellbeing.
Bring your blanket to class today, if you can. If you want, bring two.
If there is time, take a moment to set up your practice spot with intention. Maybe today you light a little candle, or adjust the blinds.

💯 agree. I almost didn't come to the mat today due to bad stomach cramps. This practice was exactly right today and I feel so much lighter physically and emotionally after doing this. She is just amazing!

I am working out behind you on day 16. Was unwell so finishing at my pace. It’s amazing peaceful and energetic both at once. However, I wonder whether 20-25 minutes are sufficient for a day’s exercise? Could you throw some light on importance of time and intensity. Though I feel totally complete at the end of the session .

@@pratishabhatt9849 research has shown that just doing 1 min of physical activity has benefits IF you do it everyday. Consistentcy is key. Doing yoga everyday will make you stronger 😎

me: "i don't need a slow yoga today" me in fetal position 19 minutes later: "this is EXACTLY what I needed" btw. Adriene and Benji could be a comic heroes- the peaceful yoga teacher and her mischievous sidekick, helping the world to feel better, one yoga sesh a time

Today was my 6 month “Yoga with Adrienne” Anniversary! I started July 28, 2020 practicing with one of her first 30 days of Yoga practices hoping to make it at least a month and now I’ve been practicing almost every day for six months 🙌🏼

“Heal” will be bookmarked to go back to whenever I need it. Lovely practice! I started a daily practice last March during the “stay at home” orders of the Pandemic. It was THE best decision I’ve ever made. I had been suffering from back aches due to cancer treatments. After only about six weeks of daily yoga practice my pain eased to the point of no discomfort. Thank you, Adriene. I love finding what feels good. In today’s Heal, the nose toward knee is most helpful for the back. 🥰.

I have probably been trying for 3 years to complete one of your 30 day journeys, here we are at day 27! I'll be 11 months sober on day 28 !! I am so very grateful for you Adriene, you bring such joy, laughter and patience to this journey. I am grateful for this genrous gift to start of this year.

Due to illness I haven't been able to make it to the mat since day 8. I struggled to show up but so glad I did. Pain is already more manageable and I cried and cried and cried. I think I needed that. Well done to everyone for showing up xxx xxx xxx

I've been getting up early before my kids to show up for myself 27 days in a row. I'm not a morning person so this is a minor miracle. I'm super inflexible so my body needs it, but it's also been so healing to do something for me to start the day. I also love pressing the refresh button when I'm done and seeing how many thousands of people were doing the practice with me... a sense of community in lockdown even though I can't see anyone, has been meaningful. Thank you for this program. I'm excited for what's next. xo

I'm not a morning person either & rarely practice til evening (even without the added pressure of kids!), so hats off to you! Seroiusly! I love the real-time sense of community too :) even the older videos generally have someone practicing along somewhere. It's so cool to think about! xxx

I’m a senior at Brown University and I’m currently in a class called Creative Nonfiction. Our first project is to write about solitude. I chose to write about how I started watching this channel during quarantine last year to find moments of solitude while living at home with my family, and to escape the chaotic world if only for a few minutes. Not only was this practice healing, but my entire experience interacting with this channel has been healing. Thank you for what you do and how you do it 💕

I can hand on heart say that these monthly yoga journeys have been such a saviour for me over the past 12 months but this Breath Journey has been the best of all. My depression has been acting crazy recently. I didn't even want to come and do yoga, although I knew how great I felt afterwards. I struggled to come today, but this gentle practise was exactly what I needed to keep my mind focused on my breath and my body. I'll come back to this one often I think. Hope you're doing okay. I'm suffering from depression myself and just wish everyday someone would pick me up and carry me somewhere where i'll be taken care of. Instead i have to pick up myself everyday. Well i've made it onto the yoga mat today :) Sending love and strength

It’s February 2 and I’m still on day 27 so I haven’t been doing it in real time with most of everyone else but I have been keeping up with reading some of the comments and it really is beautiful what’s happening here. After two really tough days with my children in lockdown, healing was just what I needed. Thank you so much for this Adriene. My breath is my anchor! I try to bring this to my day but sometimes it's hard in the moments of upset. But today is a new day, I'll start again. Love to all 💕

I didn't start doing yoga until my gym closed down in March, and Adriene, you have helped me stay so happy with the ways I can move my body in my own home. Almost a year later, here I am, finishing this journey, and I get my vaccine in an hour. I can't help but feel like you've helped me through so much and taught me so much about what I am capable of, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Benji did show up for this practice and made such a difference. Either laying still, while Adriene moved her legs, or -- my favorite moment -- licking Adriene's hand and looking up to her before final namasté ❤️ Healing with a pet in these tough times is surely easier. I don't have a pet but there will come the day when I am ready to adopt, welcome and share this act of love with a dog 🙌🏻

Although for today's practice, I could have done without the licking of my toes when stretching, the prodding of my belly in savasana, and opening up my eyes to see whiskers right.there.begging.for.dinner. Maybe it's b/c mine are cats... :P

Healing was exactly what I needed to do today and this has been really helpful. lots of tension as I am trying to heal not only myself but my life and letting go of what I cannot change. After a difficult morning facing my fears and being pained by the never ending hurt of my family 19 minutes have brought me much closer to serenity. It is OK, I am strong, I can do it as long as I listen to my body and keep breathing. Namaste!

Dear Adriene, you are a magician! Once again providing me with exactly what I needed today, after yesterday's darkness. The mental clouds had barely started to lift this morning, but reading your email already put a smile on my face and made me feel a switch within. While I am not totally "healed" after this practice, I really felt this sense of calm and surrender come over me, especially in Savasana. Right after you talked about letting go, my breath really deepened and I felt a release, both physical and mental. Not completely out of darkness, but I do see light on the horizon :) See you all tomorrow!

Holy crap. At 13:37 I have never felt more pleasure/pain. I paused this video to really hold this on both sides and variations of it. Today marks my very first day doing yoga. I instinctively chose this one as I have had a lot of cptsd and suffer from extreme stiffness. I did not expect miracles when I sat down to do this. I was thinking..over time it will make a difference. But day one - this one pose - seriously changed my life. ❤ Thank you so so much dear one for this

I think my dog is learning from Benji! He used to think my yoga time was playtime and jump all over me (he still does sometimes, but I love when he licks my face if I'm on the ground, it's so sweet!). Now he's chill as can be and sometimes he's even in the same positions as Benji is on screen. This has been such a good month for me and is definitely the longest I've done daily yoga. The difference in how I feel throughout the day and how I approach stressful situations is magical!

wow, at the end, when I brought one foot after the other after our very effective body scan meditation, I felt surreal. You are such a good meditation guide too!!! Who knew. Loved it. I also want to thank you that you did the counts to 4 for that breathing technique while we all continued to do the breathing. So, thank you teacher. The imagination of a square as you do this breathing is effective for anxiety, I can see that. Thank you for a beautiful practice.

Healing was the perfect topic for today, a day when I have felt unbalanced until now. I've loved each evening this month, my time, before bed (usually around midnight), Adriene's soothing voice helping the transition to dreamtime, body relaxed and aware of how each muscle has been stretched. Thank you for these vignettes, for the community that shares in these moments of centering. Tonight's moon, besides being known as the Full Wolf Moon, is also known as the Center Moon, ostensibly because we are nearing the center of the winter months, but I like to think of it as a time to Center. Goodnight, all you beautiful Beings (or good morning to those who have just wakened)...Carry on!

Accidentally skipped day 26 and came here today and actually it was all that I needed. No struggles with the wrist, just being in and being thankful for my body and all it does for me. I cannot thank you enough, Adriene❤️ This journey has been such a contribute to getting me out of the darkest of my depression. Due to my struggles, I started this hesitantly sometime in February, fearing failure. Here I am. Stronger physically, connecting to my body in a way I’ve neglected for months. At first I felt so vulnerable and my body so strange. Now I have found back to my sweet self. Using my breath throughout everyday life helps me connect and refocus on my rational thoughts. This has saved my life. Yoga will be with me forever✨🧘🏻‍♀️ Namaste.

This is my second thirty day challenge and I am thankful that I discovered Adriene last year. Adriene, you motivate me to be the best that I can be in such a difficult time. I lost my job Dec. 2019 at the fine age of 65. I was lost for awhile but found your practice and found comfort and strength. Then the pandemic hit and I found I was a teacher for my grandson.
