She's a great creator and she has a lovely personality, but she definitely lacks the technique to be called a "chef." I'm absolutely not hating - I like her videos, and she makes money and has fun. But she makes a lot of simple mistakes and tends to settle with stuff that she's messed up instead of redoing it. Her process of becoming better is interesting to watch! I just know that chefs train for years and gain a lot of knowledge to earn the title of "chef." I work as a cook but I haven't earned the title of chef yet. That's why Binging with Babish doesn't call himself a chef, either. But him and Lisa don't have to be chefs to be perfectly valid and talented content creators!

Some tips: It absolutely help to start at the largest setting, and to roll pasta dough through each setting twice if you have to. There's a lot really great videos on this kind of thing. I'd recommend babish's stuff. Also, kombu is meant to be taken out of the broth after a bit. Not sure if I just missed that or if it stayed in? But i think it's 90 minute mark that you need to take it out.
