This is a great reminder that without Jesus, we are not truly Catholic, and a Christian because we are to follow Jesus. The warning about the meditation and prayers without Christ would make us go astray. The point about the Holy Spirit being revered through prayers to Jesus and the Heavenly Father shows the importance of the Holy Trinity. Dear Fr. Mike, Thank you for your Catechism and Bible Reading podcast. Here in the Philippines, most of have attended Catholic Schools established by Catholic priests and nuns. All throughout our grade school, high school and college days we had religion classes but I don’t think we read the Bible and Catechism as thoroughly as I am doing now. I like the idea of “this is not about information transfer but transformation” and I try to get to the matter and do not focus on memorizing names and places. Please accept our gratitude for what you are doing. Here in the Philippines, a lot of us are Marian, we love Mama Mary and a lot of my peers have consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. At one gathering, I heard from a classmate that a relative of hers suggested that she listen to your podcast. Am in Day 342 of the Catechism and 112 of the Bible. I listen early morning since I usually wake up at four in the morning. I always pray for you and all those listening to your podcast.

Day 342 - Today is Friday December 8th, 2023 which is the Feast day of The Immaculata ( The Immaculate Conception according to the tradition of the church ). Happy Feast of The Immaculate Conception it is a day of obligation to attend Mass today. Ave Maria Purisima gratia plena help us all to be faithful to our only true Lord and King Jesus / Iesu / Yeshua, Son of the living God... there is no other Name above His Name... Jesus. It was a beautiful prayer Father Mike Schmitz, thank you. Viva Cristo Rey King of the universe, Lord of lords and King of kings. I am so, so extremely grateful for my CATHOLIC PRIVILEGE. Praying for Fr. Mike & CIY 🙏🙏🙏 Asking for prayers for my son. Dec 6 the electricity in our area was turned off for 6hr. When it came back on at my son's house it made a popping noise and shut back off. Clay electric came out and tried to start it and started a fire at the meter, put it out and turned the meter off. I had to track down a master electrician (all the electricians I knew were journeymen) At 8pm he came and temporarily got it going. Now it is on and my son has no appliances, phone, tv, and sauna (which he needs to use twice daily for his kidney disease). We have already paid $2000.00 and we have been told it is the Clay electrics fault, but that chances of getting them to take blame and pay is slim. Everything worked great in the house before they took down the power and surged it back on. Please pay that everything will return to working order as he nor I have the means to replaces them all. THANK YOU❤🙏🙏🙏

Maybe you should start a fundraiser with “ Give send go”? If you put the link here people would contribute. You could sue that electric company but that takes time. If they caused damage they should replace what they broke! I’d think they may have insurance or something to cover this. Will pray this gets resolved asap! Maybe I’ve of your local news channels would be interested in the story. Sometimes they like to investigate businesses doing wrong and expose them.

Today's whole session is a prayer in itself. What a gift !!! Living tradition of prayer is prayer to the Father, to Jesus, and to & by the Holy Spirit, who draws us to prayer by his grace. We have only to be honest, humble, and patient in the presence of God when we pray. Every prayer has access to the Father only if prayed 'in the name' of Jesus. In the Mass, almost every prayer is addressed to the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus. We pray to Jesus by his titles, which the N.T. gives us. Yet, invoking Jesus by his name makes him present to us in his power and is possible at all times as we call upon him and love him ❤. We also pray to the Holy Spirit as it is he who makes us divine through Baptism. 🙏 🙏 🙏

I will pray for him.🙏 Headaches are one of the worse pains as the pain is so close to the brain. My son had a miracle occur when he was 14. He was cured overnight from migraines that he had been suffering with continuously for over a month.

She has even 24-hour Rosary; the site is; - live; people type in their petitions. She has every kind of Rosary invented; - and available to the public. I used to do the Thank You Jesus prayer. I will return to it soon. She speaks beautiful Latin as well. I only do the Thank Jesus Rosary in this site. I do the Ordinary Rosary with Franciscan priests... or rather; I choose priests to pray with me. It does not matter; according to the catechism; if it's a priest or not. I just have this preference; in just that.

15:45 The name of Jesus is not a mantra. As Christians, we can't use it like that. We are calling about God Himself. When we say the name of Jesus, we are calling upon Him, the personal God, to be present to us, to be with us. And we're calling upon ourselves to be attentive to Him. So it's not heaping up empty phrases, but this prayer holds fast to the Word and brings forth fruit. And it's possible at all times because it is not one occupation among others but it's the only occupation: that of loving God. When we pray the name of Jesus, we are loving Him. 16:50 "If the Spirit should not be worshiped, how can He divinize me through Baptism? If He should be worshiped, should He not be the object of adoration?" -St. Gregory of Nazianzus If the Holy Spirit isn't actually God, then how could He divinize us? We get to pray, not only through the power of the Holy Spirit, but we also pray to the Spirit. 18:20 When we pray to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we have a God who already is loving us. @yvobalcer Very good question. Pat has answered it very well. I think his bishop wants him to build a church. But a break from podcasting would probably be very good for him. I can't imagine the effort and energy he has expended over the past two years on BIY and CIY. On top of his many other duties. Personally? I would love for him to go through the documents of Vatican 2. And clear up so much misunderstanding so as to reach those being confused and misled by "rad-trads."

Hail Mary is a prayer of intercession, where we ask the Mother of God to pray for us, by praying the words of scripture first viz Full of grace; Lord is with thee; (words of the angel) blessed are you among women.(words of Elizabeth)
