I've just come across your channel. Really enjoyed all five days of your journey. Day 2 looked the most interesting and it seemed you both thought that too. Well done to you both on completing the challenge. I'm off to watch some of your other content too now. Inspiring stuff!

Hi Tony, Hi Allison, absolutely brilliant, many congratulations on completing the CW. I’m glad you enjoyed this last day. Me and Mossy were thinking it was only us that enjoyed it. Obviously we did it in May so the foliage wasn’t quite as overgrown as you had it on some parts. It was also nice to see the diversion as we managed to get through before the land slip? I see you fell in to the same trap we did, we also thought Dalston was half way in! 🤣🤣 All the best guys 😀🥾⛰🏕️

Hi Dave, it was a great day, but very windy 🤣. By the sound of it a lot of people do days 2-4 so this one was a bit overgrown but great fun. Yes, Dalston looked half way on the map but wishful thinking 😆, it’s more like 2/3. Enjoy it out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

Congratulations of finishing the CW. Thats some trek you both did with a variety of typical English weather! A great watch and insight of what to expect and great info along the way. I can understand why most people tend to do days 2, 3 and 4 as its probably the most scenic part and I would imagine many hikers will have done bits of it previously but a good route ticked off must feel good when you get to the finish. I thought a bottle of bubbly might have been on the cards when you got to Carlisle 🍾🥂🙂 I look forward to your next adventure ATB

Thanks Tony, I’m glad I could show you the whole route. It was an amazing feeling to finish 🏁. The middle 3 days are the national park so I can see why people just do those but every section has something to offer. Great idea, champagne it is next time 🍾 🥳. Thanks for your support mate ⛰️😁🥾

Loved watching the series. I expected Alison to say her favourite day was Day 3 when she had retail therapy and a few beers 😂. We actually did high pike today from Mosedale, going into the bothy too . Then the clag came down. 50 metres view. We found the paths went on for a while then disappeared to nothing. Would to loved to have your views. On day 5 you mentioned Japanese knotweed, it was actually himalayan balsam (I'm a gardener and photographer). Cheers Mark and Angie.

Hi Mark and Angie, Yes🤣, we will be heading back at some point to get Allison to complete day 3. It is hit and miss with the clag and a shame you missed the views, I hope you get them next time 😁. It is Himalayan balsam, always happy to gain new information mate 😃. I’m glad you enjoyed the series, there were some amazing things to see on it and I feel like we had most weather but great fun. Enjoy it out there mate 🥾😁⛰️

@@trekkingwithtony Congratulations on completing the Cumbria Way, that Himalayan Balsam is very invasive,I can't say I like the smell either, it resembles a very bad soapy smell, it always seems to find a home unfortunately for us along the waterways of England.

@@jonathanlake6053 thanks Jonathan😁. I was post Covid so still no smell but Allison said it was strong. It was all over the place on that section and pretty invasive. Enjoy it out there mate 🥾😁⛰️
