When you click the map icon (top right, first option in the column), the map with red line will pop up. On the bottom right corner, you’ll see GPS grayed out. It’s a gray box. Click it and it’ll turn red. You’ll then see yourself on the red line or wherever you are on the trail in the form of an arrow. 😊 In the list version (third icon with 3 lines), you’ll also see yourself listed as your username.

Hi bears! I have a question regarding shoes. I believe MB you are on your third pair of shoes, and LB on her second. I would think ...maybe I am wrong, but you guys are walking the same path so I am would think that you both would get shoes at the same time. Then again, I am guessing it depends on how you guys are walking that determines the wear? I am a walker no hiking and I trade out my shoes quite a bit. I wear Brooks, and I am thinking about getting Hoka shoes. Any suggestions? Also, another question and I may have missed - Does your family have a tracking app to see where you guys are at all times? Happy trails and do it with a wiggle. Love and light to you both.
@wildflowersadventures6 ай бұрын
The way people walk affects the wear and tear on the shoe. Also, I’m guessing overall weight on the shoe has a lot to do with it as well. We both love the Speedgoats and recommend them, but as you know, shoes are a very personal choice. We still have Life360 on, but our family isn’t tracking us. I don’t use the Garmin tracking feature either.

In your last video you did mention that zero days are so expensive because of the food. But I can see why if you go to restaurants that often 😂 Isn't it more affordable to get the meals from the grocery store?
@amynapier35516 ай бұрын
Meals in town can be really helpful to make up for calories lost on the trail. Many hikers use this method so that they don't lose so much weight.
@theoutdoordogandhikinggirl6 ай бұрын
@@amynapier3551 I know but if you think it gets to expensive it might not be necessary for 3 times a day.
@wildflowersadventures6 ай бұрын
Food in general is expensive. Resupply from grocery stores, hostels, gas stations, etc is expensive. Town food at restaurants is also expensive. When in town, whether for a nero or a zero, or just passing through, you have to eat as much as you can to balance weight loss on trail. And, most of the time, you won’t have the ability to cook, so it’s difficult to buy groceries for your meals while in town. Even if you have the opportunity to cook, it’s hard to buy just enough without wasting leftovers. But, choosing cheaper restaurants would be a way to save money. It’s just hard to pass up opportunities for food you’re craving and your body is already so worn down.
