So many options and adaptations, thank you so much! I hurt my left hip some time ago and sometimes it randomly feels bad, it’s good to know how to adapt and access the forward folding to protect the joint ❤️ see you tomorrow!

Kino, this is amazing ❤️ I can’t thank you enough. I’ve been doing Ashtanga for a couple of months now but always felt I was missing something, and this challenge has shown me exactly what it was. Learning the proper technique and doing the asanas gradually alongside you, with the appropriate modifications, has helped me to become aware of what’s happening in my body, which joints and muscles I’m moving and targeting and which ones to protect and how. You’re quite an inspiration to me - we were born on the same day, and I have not looked after myself over the last 20 years like you have. But I am starting to now! I’ll never be where you are, and I’m not comparing myself to you, but to see what you’ve achieved by our ripe old age of 43 gives me hope that I can achieve what’s right for me over the next 20 years ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for emphasizing the need to activate the various muscles within the legs when forward bending on the floor. I would often activate when doing standing forward bending for balance, but focus solely on the stretching of the hamstrings while giving the quads and such a break when on the floor. Cheers to learning new bits of helpful information :)

I appreciate you giving a breakdown for these poses. I have a really hard time with forward folds both sitting and standing. I realize that I have really tight hamstrings and can't reach my toes without bending my knees or rounding my back. I can keep my back straight in child's pose perfectly fine but if my hips are on the ground, its nearly impossible

being a 42 year old male, my forward fold has always been a little hard, but with some consistency, i finally can fold all the way over with straight legs. I can touch my toes! lol

But I have a question to ask, I am doing yoga for 8 years and for these last two months I have been working on my hip muscles and Hanumanasana and upavistha konasana now day by day I am getting soreness in my lower back muscles and my hamesterings I want to know why? And should I give a rest to my those muscles and change my focus from my hips and hamesterings to other parts of my body for a period of time? Sorry for asking a long question 🙏🙏❤️
