BUUUUT. What if there is time loop in a plot (story kind of plot, not sean's). And in season 9 they didn't destroy Nameless scout ship, they captured it. And because they don't really have any other ships they use that one to fly to the planet where the first attack has happened! Aaaand in the last episode, as they reach that planet, they see it's no longer damaged! It's all blue and green as it's been in old days! And there are spaceships and sattelites everywhere around it. Their spacesips. Human spaceships. AND THEN. They hear warning. It's the Prime Battleship of the American Trade Alliance. The same one, what's been destroyed by Nameless Scouts in the 1st season. They realised they somehow went back in time right to that moment when the first attack on humanity has happened. They understand that Scout Nameless Ship - it's them! And they can change the future now. All they need to do is not shooting the Prime Battleshop of the ATA. But, suddenly, someone presses the button. And the red laser bursts in to the human ship destroying it. Everyone panickes. Everyone wants to know who did this and why. Then they see human battleships flying to them. So they decide do flew away. In last few minutes of the last episode of the last season of the greates sci-fi tv series ever they show us some clips. It shows how this organic nameless ship corrupts everyone who's in there. And i was corrupting them all the time since they first step into it. They're starting to lose their minds. Their hair is starting to fell off. Everybody on the ship are slowly transforming in to something weird insectoidish. They're becoming them. They are becoming NAMELESS. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH

Star Wars extended series books and comics did pretty much the same thing only better. tl;dr the exiled sith lord Palpatine found out about an alien race from another galaxy planning an invasion so he astroturfs himself into a rocketing political career with a trade war he directs from both sides. He quickly repeats this with running both sides of a galactic civil war. Why? So he could build the superweapons necessary to defend the galaxy from the insurmountable intergalactic alien invasion force's anti-Force anti-gravity bioships that dwarf planets. Palpatine gets drunk on his power after the rebellion formed from fear of the awesome power of the superweapons the galaxy so desperately needs for the future war. After losing to the Rebels; the Empire, led by Palpatine's right hand man, Admiral Thrawn, chooses to retreat and create a massive army of cloned Sith among other military programs, for the coming battle; avoiding conflict where possible. Finally, the aliens from another galaxy, finally revealed as the Yhuuzan Vong. The New Republic sends the best of their best and gets completely destroyed with ease. This is all over about 100 different books and comics written by science fiction's top authors and artists. It's really worth reading it all start to finish. Ignore the new Disney movies.

If you want a good Sci-Fi series, read The Expanse series. Tons of action, and I mean A LOT Set just a few hundred years in future, in a very realistic scenario (in terms of technology) Four, 500 page books released to date Five more books to come out over next few years, they have already been paid for, so ~4500 pages worth of awesomeness. It covers mostly everything he described(not specifics though), and they are really good! 4th one isn't as good, but still better than most Sci-Fi books. And as more proof that it is good, they are making a TV show based on books 1-2. They are likely to do more.

Even with FTL or wormhole technology trips would take longer and longer and longer until you would lose touch with other solar systems entirely. Granted this would take awhile but it is an issue.

I would make a Shingeki no Kyojin Live Action AAA Hollywood series. I would cast every actor I don't like to be eaten in the first episodes. R18+, blood and gore everywhere, true horror and oppression shown in eyes of remaining human populace - no censorship: women die, children die, men die in the most brutal ways like in the animated series.
