This is actually good for many things in life. Like Matt said, it doesn't need to be perfect. It just needs to be "good enough." You can fine tune things as you go. The important part is to get going.

And I think finding what "doesn't" work for you is also part of the process.

it's about doing the basics over and over and over, it really is not that complicated, want a bigger back do lots and lots of pull ups, bigger chest lots of push ups, the ceiling for progressing intensity is quite low but the room to progress volume ( total reps ) is higher and more straight forward, progressing intensity is just progressing your strength and that plateaus very fast

Nice Matt. I think i got my program finally figured for my goals and recovery ability (Male 46yo). I can finally blend nicely my weight training, diet and tennis playing/coaching. Took a couple years and stumbled on some iniuries. Things feel balanced now.

It's a mix of bilateral barbell work, rings, stretches and mobility, important isolation work with dumbbells/cables/kettlebells for weak areas. Then daily walks, good sleep and hydration and some tennis. I also discovered rope flow recently which is a fun warmup for spine and shoulders
