@Lord Greylancer he said it was legacy legal and thus it is completely allowed on tournaments - just using it as a Turing machine might take a bit too long and judges may accuse you of slow play and kick you out.

The wheel does have white and red where Sean landed, it’s just very hard to tell. You can compare it to the red/red next to it and see that it matches

Not on the wheel. When either Sean or Kyle lose life, a graphic comes up with the current life totals and the decks each player is running. At 4:52, the circle next to Kyle's life total shows the tri-color deck he's running. Next to Sean's is a White/Black circle, despite Sean playing a Red/White deck.

At GenCon I was LITERALLY the first person to sit down to learn how to play Magic The Gathering at the Wizards of the Coast Learn to Play booth and it was ONLY because I've been watching you on this show. I did NOT pick blue! (I hadn't tried to play before because I'm a 54-year-old mom and I was intimidated by young people playing at gaming stores.) I picked a white deck(and totally owned a youngster playing black). Anyway, thanks for the inspiration; it was TOTALLY fun and I wouldn't have tried it without you. Keep fighting the good fight to spread gaming and gamification! Love you, kiddo!

My buddies and I exclusively play commander if we decide to play magic. We don't play very often, but when we do, it's several or so hours of politics, deals, and backstabs. We played yesterday after a d&d game got cut short. My friend was playing my other friend's "super friend's deck" with planeswalkers up his ass an Jodah as the commander. We accidentally left him alone for too long got dumpstered

What a fun episode! It was great to see two seasoned veterans explore new decks and face off in such a fast and furious game. Some great strategy notes, particularly the saving of the Trumpet Blast to a moment of tapped mana when there can be no counter spell. It's so tempting when you see danger looming to just throw the big damage, but this really showed how well patience can pay off.

Arthur Miller it's a 1/2. It is a 2/3 only after Heroic Reinforcements resolves. As soon as Sean casted it Kyle should have, in response, shocked it to death.

I wonder how the game would have went if Sean have simply attack after the second goblin instigator came on field. If he did swing in and pretend he made a mistake, Kyle would have block the 2/3 with his wall, the flyer with his flyer and the 1/1 token with Nicol Bolas. Meaning Nicol Bolas would have taken at least 1 dmg allowing lightning strike (instant spell) to take him out effectively denying Kyle any chance of winning.

That would not have taken the bird out because heroic reinforcements made it 2/3 it was not 1/2 anymore and shock only does 2 damage.

He had already flipped them and and was going for the attack, should the shock not have been used before he tapped and attacked because it sounds like that was one step too late and the reinforcements had already gone off. I could see if he had stopped him before he flipped/tapped and and as soon as the reinforcements came in, do you see what I'm saying? It was already a step past. This is what I'm seeing.

this is by FAR the best way to present magic in a video/stream. I’ve tried to watch pro tours so much but it’s really difficult to follow along without knowing each and every card (because I’m expected to, I guess?) I’ve been playing off an on for like ten years and I’m afraid the game is gonna die out with no competitive spectating appeal for newcomers (or even players who don’t have time to learn every card dating back to the start of the game, in the case of legacy/vintage). Anyway, thanks for making these videos because they are really good. I’m sure it’s not easy to produce though
