i love that its just like normal to dress and be so cute in japan, it's not usually necessarily my style but I have felt held back wearing some of my cuter dresses last summer here (rotterdam the netherlands) ;_; but i'm inspired now

In Brazil carrot cake is very common as well, so I was a little shocked it isn't know in japan It's sooo good, we love to make carrot cake and put chocolate cover on it, it's the perfect combination

My brother lives in Brazil and the first time I went I tried it, is soooooo tasty, I live in Argentina and here is not that common so I was a little afraid because I only eat carrot salty, but carrot and chocolate is a perfect combination 💖

i would say carrot cake is more of a spring thing for easter. i think coffee and walnut cake, pecan pie or apple pie is more british autumn desserts

pecan pie and apple pie are not commonly seen in the UK we do have crumble tho so like apple and blackberry crumble is way more common or rhubarb crumble

You know what's really delicious and also another thing and a lot of places don't eat, zucchini pound cake! Zucchini pound cake is so delicious and does not taste like zucchini at all, like I think if you make that for them and then you tell them it's zucchini they'll be so shocked!!!

@@morganrawlinson4619 there is difference between zucuhini bread and zucchinis pound cake, zucchini bread usually has dried fruit and/or nuts in it while zucchini pound cake it just vanilla pound cake with zucchini as an ingredient.

The heart rod is really popular among girls who rent kimono nearby, they often visit the shop to get a heart rod for pictures! I think the way they sell these heart rods is to let the customers to have a taste on their fruits, if they really like certain type of fruit they can buy in bulk, which should be the major income of the shop. And comparing to buying from a whole pack of fruit (i.e. strawberries), they would earn way more with the heart rods (priced at 500-700yen), while a whole pack of strawberries (depends on their grades and sizes of course) should priced around 1500-1600yen for around 10-12 pieces. To be honest I don't think the skewer and the ribbon will cost much, so the instagram-famous heart rods can provides quite some income in my opinion.

I remember when I was like 5 years old me and my friend made a carrot cake at my childminder’s house. We were supposed to make little carrots out of icing to put on top the cake but we got carried away and made a bunch of other random things out of orange and green icing. The reason strawberries are a winter fruit in Japan is because they are grown in greenhouses so they won’t freeze. Were as in the UK they are grown outside.

Im sorry I am so late tot this video, and I hope you still work there or if not are still in contact. When you were all talking about the juices flowing down and hitting the ribbon I thought of a suggestion/idea. Hold a paper towel or napkin around the ribbon underneath where you will be sliding the fruit, then the juices get sucked up by that instead of the ribbon. So cute. I wish I could go to Japan.
