Loved this episode! Thanks Bobby J for fighting the good fight and putting food on our tables! Midwesterner here but always loved that drive on I5 north from the Grape Vine to Stockton. Truly some of the best of what California has to offer.

Amen Sam! A big thanks to Bobby J for feeding Americans with quality grown products made right here. God knows its not easy, and some dingbats don't make it any easier. Like here in NY, we need to put a fence around them to keep us out, or them in LOL. I worked on the neighbors farm the first 8 years of my life. It taught me a lot, including my values in life. Peace --gary

Absolutely the hardest working people I know are farmers. I'm from New York. Not the city, but upstate, just south of Albany on the east side of the Hudson River. Dairy farms all over(who grow their own commodities, so thousands of acres of corn and grasses are being grown to feed those cows), apple orchards all over. I can remember reading a complaint about a manure truck leaking and leaving a trail. The person said there were no farms in the area. I posted a map photo of exactly where the truck was headed, and it was directly to a field, to spray that liquid gold onto the field to start the next years crops. Said person was from the city, and literally had no clue how food is grown. God Bless the farmers. So from my family to yours, thanks Bobbie J.

Grew up in Colusa County. Rice, walnuts, almonds, tomatoes, pistachoes, watermelons and other vine seeds. Hard working people not the soft Kalifornia people that live in the big cities. People that think their food comes from the supermarket and complain about the farmers and hard working people.

California's agricultural industry has the highest output of any U.S. state. We’re not just a concrete jungle.

I currently live in the desert in Arizona in a farming community that produces lettuce of all things. Have had the privilege of working in California a couple of times and have seen the diversity of crops grown in NorCal. Back in the day drove trucks for a living and hauled some of those crops from both states to market. Farmers work HARD with no guarantees of a payoff at the end of the season. Truly a different breed of human beings to do what they do for the rest of us who don't.

Pretty cool video, we are a small operation in Iowa and run the same vintage line of equipment farming corn,soybeans and wheat. Neat to see other smaller operations getting by. Thanks for sharing

Respect for people like you and the farmers for staying true and making it work when you’re constantly having to deal with the politics/stigma of a place like California. I’m from western NY, grew up around row crops, orchards and dairy farms. To me NY and Cali are very similar, once you leave the city there’s a lot of great people just hard for me to go back to that state when it’s hard enough to make a living these days I dont want to fight the state in order to do so.

If people only knew the diversity of crops grown in Northern California, they would be amazed. Almonds - Among the largest crops by acreage and value, especially in the Sacramento Valley. Grapes (wine grapes) - Particularly large in Northern California due to the regions like Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Walnuts - Common in the Sacramento Valley; Northern California is a significant contributor to the global walnut market. Rice - Grown primarily in the Sacramento Valley, one of the largest rice-producing regions in the U.S. Lettuce and Leafy Greens - Coastal areas near Salinas and parts of Northern California grow substantial amounts of leafy greens. Tomatoes (processing) - Northern California is a big supplier for the processed tomato market, including paste and sauces. Hay and Alfalfa - Large in acreage and important as animal feed, particularly for dairy farms. Pistachios - Grown in the Central Valley, with some farms extending into Northern California. Stone Fruits (peaches, plums, nectarines) - Grown in specific areas within Northern California, but less extensive than almonds and grapes. Olives - Northern California is seeing growth in olive production, especially for olive oil. Strawberries - Mainly along the coast where cooler weather is ideal. Oranges and Citrus - Limited production in Northern California, but it still contributes to the total state production.

California leads the nation in growth and production of crops… a lot of haters out there that hate Cali however, remember where you food comes from.

Love California and it’s beautiful scenery. Nobody has a problem with how California looks. It all comes down to their politicians and the fact they think they run the entire nation.

I mean yes that’s a nicer part of California but as I live in NY the same issues and scenery. The problem is we both have bad cities that try to dictate how everything else should go. We both have governors and states that hate freedom and hard working people and try to get us to leave and that’s why people leave in droves every year. Then the government turns around and taxes us even harder and makes it almost impossible to be a small business owner because of over regulation. The issue with the people that leave for greener pastures end up being the ones that try to make whatever state they move to into exactly what they left. Sucks.

That looks similar to the combine that I worked with in 1971. It had a 12' head and had to inch through one-lane bridges that were only 12.5' wide when moving from farm to farm.

The only problem I have with California. Is Hollywood people,Gavin Newsom, Nancy Polosi, Kamala Harris. If you could keep these people in one area and not let them out to ruin the rest of the country. People wouldn’t be so harsh on California. People don’t realize how much food comes from California. Especially in the winter months.

@@mowerjeff8990 truth. Funny how the Cali politicians are in the highest area now and still blame Cali. Some how the whole country fell for them also
@mowerjeff89908 күн бұрын
@@VBELTandSON It’s the same with all politicians. Lies and deception and we the people suffer. It’s easier for us non Californians to criticize the state since we don’t live there. But it seems like what ever happens out there comes across the country like a plague.Watching your videos I believe you really love your state.
