It looks so much better without the headache rack. I’m very early into my 01. Going to replace the bed in the spring and do a Fass. You have an amazing channel. I’m learning so much! Thank you

Have you considered brazing the weaker metal great for filling pin holes and low melting point makes for no warping. I'm loving this.

Sam, You seriously need a media blaster! All these projects would go so much smoother, faster, less effort (work smarter not harder). Stripping paint off the doors/hood, rust off the frame, hard to get at places. They work like magic! There are different abrasives, job dependent. I don't know what a good one cost, but I'll donate the first $100 tword one!!! I'm that sure you would love it!! Also really improve the quality of the build!! Boone always makes me laugh, he was watching real close, ready to eat your lunch pizza!! LOL Just a thought too, wonder if they sell door skins, fenders, hoods, tailgates at those parts places for older cars/trucks? They do for square body GM's, older Fords etc. Time saver there too! Peace --gary

Because when stores like Home Depot have an excess of cheap inventory they can't sell, they offload it to the dollar store for $0.50 a piece and they resell it for $1.25. That tool find was crazy it's a simulation for sure!

I've never understood headache racks. They are the ugliest "add on" on any pickup. Looking forward to how this turns out.

I liked the extra lights up top and it protected the back glass many times plus nice tie point for my dirt bike back in the day

This is a long shot. Been watching you for a couple months now. My brother has a first gen basket case 12valve 4x4, motor was rebuilt under 100kand also has a ‘03 quad cab 3500, manual, 4x4 that has a motor knock. Wanna trade for something ready to daily? We are down on the central coast. Let me know.

Well as far as the paint you can go is go with tractor paint??? Much Cheaper
@VBELTandSON2 күн бұрын
I’ve never tried tractor paint but I like the brand I have used on the last couple of builds I’d like to stick with that.

@@VBELTandSON If that 13mm Husky wasnt yours that you lost, i bet yours is in another truck somewhere because whatever is under the hood that takes that 13mm, you might have lost yours working on that as well on a different rig! LOL
