I was actually lucky with my company, we used to be needed to go to office, but after covid hit germany and homeoffice became more and more of a thing we now are free to choose if we want to go to office or would rather stay at home / somewhere else, productivity quotes have risen up ever since homeoffice was allowed so its a win/win! I do go to the office every now and then, but most of the time i work from home now :D

Hi Sayhyun! I just subscribed to your channel because I'll be honest, I find you one of the more 'authentic' software engineers sharing their 'day in the life' videos. I've watched hundres of similar videos from other engineers, and all I keep getting is the impression that they're all just interested in 'uploading a video' or 'soothing the algorithm', or even to some extent, like to 'show off' their tech jobs and 6-figure lifestyle. Some of us actually look for these videos to watch to get a sense of what it's like to work for these FAANG-like companies, and not to binge-watch how cool you think your job-life is. So anyway, I'll stop rambling here but I thought I'd just share my two-cents with you!

yup i could understand it in english! the hours vary week to week, but as a base, I am at least available to my coworkers 40 hours each week. It's not active 40 hours of work, the hours are broken down into coding + writing / meetings / discussions / breaks
