The part where "Carrying a burden" really hits me. I always listen to everyone's problem and try to suggest them the best options to tackle and solve their own problems but I've never thought of trying to solve my own problems in life until it finally takes a toll on me. Nowadays, all of my bottled up emotions got leaked and I'm now having my most longest burnout I've ever experienced and I don't know how to drag myself back on two feet again. Not only it greatly affected my grades in school but also every seconds that I could use to help myself improved as a person both for other people and for my dreams in the future. Having high expectations makes me harder to find someone that I can fully trust and share with my problems, not even my family is not trustworthy enough to talk to them with my problems. I know that I have no right to rant in a video that has nothing to do with any mental problems. Maybe I'm just that desperate, I'm afraid that my predictions 5 years from now might come true if I won't able to get out of this void. And being in a family that Is really busy and didn't give me time to spent some time alone and thinking why am I this way and how doesn't help me at all. I'm really sorry, to everyone who find this non-sense or sensitive. I'm really sorry, to everyone who thought I'm a nuisance and I shouldn't comment this in the comment section. I know, it's insensitive of me that I put a comment with such a very sensitive theme. Good day to you and sorry

That was a lovely, aesthetically solid video. I really like how you were very clear in pointing out that we aren't our letters or numbers... We are unique individuals. I think that is a very important point to be reminded of. The moment I accept a label for myself, I limit myself in many ways. I think that's probably true for everyone. A label can limit us when we find ourselves accentuating or repressing a certain part of our natural personality to fit the mold of our label. I've caught myself doing it. My goal is constant improvement, and being limitless is high on the "improvement" scale.. it's a goal of mine. In order to live a limitless existence, it's important to remove as many limiting factors as I can. I can be described as INFJ, but I am not INFJ. There is a difference. Great video!! Very impressive production value!

What are you then? INFP? 😂 Learning MBTI needn’t be limiting. I see it as empowering as it allows us to see beyond bullshit labels and misunderstandings. We are what we are. We of course have choices but an MBTI type does not limit this, all it describes is tendencies, which are real and unalterable. If you go against natural preferences you are not being real and authentic. You should nurture your natural personality not ignore it.

@@Coneman3 I agree with each of you! I suppose it's all about perceiving it, whether it's indirect or direct. I was astounded and pleased to figure out the MBTI type i was and resonated with (along with DiSC functions, etc). However, overtime, I internalized the types/"personality names" as something that defined me, straying from the well-intended idea that they were guidelines and rooms of growth. I think if a person finds that it isn't healthy/helpful for them, it's okay to step away from it for a bit to explore. Tis something I'm trying to work on, so that I can have a healthier relationship with being an "INFJ" xD

"Take this test once in a while to see what has changed" is literally the reason why there can't be any accurate online test. Your MBTI cannot change. MBTI is about how you perceive the world and interact with it, in a way that's deeply rooted in you and on the scale of your entire lifetime. It's not about phases in your life or your day to day actions influcenced by your mood.
@nikolinagavrilov71633 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I thought as soon as I heard that. Don't want to bore people by saying the same old story...but, please, if you want to know your type don't take the test, you'll most likely mistype yourself. Learn about the functions. Observe yourself. Reflect. It will take time. Like a lot of time, but you'll get there.
@Nephelith3 жыл бұрын
@@nikolinagavrilov7163 Yes, absolutely. Some people called me condescending and gatekeeping for saying that MBTI takes a lot of time and research - but that's what it is like. MBTI isn't a system for people who don't want to bother with research and questionning. Nothing wrong about that, you have the right to want a personality test that doesn't take time nor effort. But in this case, MBTI isn't for you, because by doing so you are only twisting the purpose of MBTI and the way it functions. And then you get mistyped or you claim your type is shifting. And then you spread misinformation, until you make a video like this one.

Yup, I highly agree with the part of no one being the same just from having these four letters. I'm an INFJ and I've seen many INFJ memes of a cartoon being too nervous to talk with someone when they're looking for something in a store. That's just being shy. If I need something I can't find within a certain time, I'll immediately go ask the store employee where I can find it. I've done countless public presentations on various topics and guided large crowds without any issues or feeling nervous, including handling tough customers/visitors. I even love to see new places and meet new people. I simply recharge by being alone.
@jessn.38513 жыл бұрын
Yes, that depends on your experiences. I'm also not as shy because I am a teacher. There are times when I feel shy but I'm not afraid to talk to most people and I have traveled alone. Young INFJs who don't have much life experience and haven't stepped outside of their comfort zone may get nervous easily.

A comment here stating, "I have a 4.0 GPA" I had a 2.6 at best, But it was not my priority as my home felt much more weight, and my mother never saw it as important. I guess that's how you explain the dark INFJs of history, That what everyone tells us, is a SUM of that harmony. as for me. I Feel a dream where I have a big house, I throw a big party, people's plans are going well and their true emotions are being revealed, and the place has this, gold and bright look, I'm surrounded, and...I die, Knowing I helped. @prasiolite53733 жыл бұрын
Welp. I totally agree with the last part's message but i hope you guys know what functions are. If you wanna know what mbti really is i recommend you search for mbti functions. I mean- I can try to explain it here too but it would be a bit long... Anyways its your decision to read or not. Here it iz: Now, there are 4 kinds of functions: Sensing, intuition, thinking and feeling. These guys are divided into two too by extraversion and introversion. They basically mean how the function manifests in you as for example if you use Fi (Introverted feeling), you care more about what you feel inside, a bit closed up about ur feelings and have your own morals. But if it's Fe (extraverted feeling), you think you are responsible for the harmony around you, want everyone to feel accepted and all... Basically are more about other people and ethics. These two functions may not be the best to describe first 'cuz they are a bit similar but basically: Fi vs Fe = Morals vs Ethics. Not gonna write like this cuz i can't do it (i tried): Judging functions: Ti: Are good at understanding complex systems and goes with "why"s. Deep thinkers. Te: Judging based on facts and logic rather than emotions and values. They be objective, systematic and tidy i guess. I'm passing Fi and Fe. Perceiving functions: Ni: They take the information first and put it all in one unconsciously in the back of their minds and realize it after like an idiot... I'm kidding lmao. But it's like that. Ne: Are seekers for possibilities and what can happen. Si: Looks at what happened in the past and goes with that logic. Se: Looks at what is going on around in the moment. Perceiving functions are how we perceive the world around us and judgings are how we judge it. But we don't take only two of them of course. The first two are our main functions but we take the opposites as well because someone decided to do so. For example let's go with INFJ's: Ni-Fe-Ti-Se First function, which is also called the dominant function, is going on unconsciously and describes the person. [I'm sorry for the Ni description, i guess it's not unconsciously... I'm an Ni-dom... (Ni dominant)] Second one, auxiliary function, is conscious and the person is good at using it. Third one, tertiary function, is person's comfort zone since it's the same extraversion-introversion as the dominant one. And the person is good at using that too, but not as that much as auxiliary. Fourth one is inferior and person is not so good at using it. But there is still some in the person even if it's stressful to use it. And it can be worked over. But we are not all those four functions, of course. There are shadow functions which are the unused functions in our function stack. The ranking is the same for the function types but extraversions and introversions are swiched. Let's continue with INFJ: Ne-Fi-Te-Si ... I forgot to give you how we symbolize these functions... Whatevs, i'll write it at the last. The very last ois, which is The Demon, is what the person hates the crap out of. I dunno about other people but Si is self-sabotaging for me. When i think about my past and what i did, it feels like i did it wrong. Every. Single. One. But it's of course different for other people, i can't know that. Demon function's definition was self sabotaging, the thing that can harm the person, i guess. The second last, which is PolR, i guess, (I didn't find this in google but on personalities database) is the one which person does no have. So so little. Just a tiny bit of little. 👌 Ok, it's too early for you to try to learn shadow functions before knowing what normal functions are, i guess. I'm stopping here. And also, the shortcuts for functions: xNxJ: Ni xSxJ: Si xNxP: Ne xSxP: Se (J: Introversion at perceiving) (P: Extraversion at perceiving) xxFJ: Fe xxFP: Fi xxTJ: Te xxTP: Ti (J: Extraversion on judging) (P: Introversion on judging) Ixxx: Introverted one dominant Exxx: Extraverted one dominant Once you got the first two function with these rules, you gotta put a mirror in the middle and put the exact opposites like: Fe-Si | Ne-Ti Se-Ti | Fe-Ni Btw, i guess u figured it out already but the first two is gotta be one introverted and one extraverted. I'm sorry if i did any mistakes. I still think you should go read somethings about these. There are a lot of memes about mbti too btw. :))

@nikolinagavrilov71633 жыл бұрын
@@myrtila Ni is introvert intuition. What it really means is that you think in abstract terms. More precisely as Ni lead you tend to push every new information you get into the same concept, you tend to narrow down things to their core. To try to clarify it even more - you organise the same old information over and over again, unlike Ne leads who tend to gather and gather and gather. We like "old" they like "new". Also, main difference between Ni and Ne is that Ni is like going to the roots, you see all those different branched but you "feel" the pattern and you take it down to roots. While Ne is starting from the roots and then branching. I'm Ni lead so I can't help but go to the pure abstraction with explanation, but I hope you get the point now. Also, I recommend reading Jung and watching Objective Personality here on yt, no one explains it well as they do. And don't expect to get it immediately, it took me about a year to be able to differentiate the functions, but once you get it it's pretty cool.

I'm an INFJ and the reason I love MBTI is because it helps me to identify particular traits in other people. MBTI is sort of like our base stats. Every person will be different because of their experiences, but those traits are still recognizable. I don't like the general personality descriptions so much, but the individual traits help me to recognize why some people are the way they are, so that I can better understand how to interact with them. It helped me realize that a lot of what people may consider flaws are really just personality differences. After reading the description of the INFJ years ago, for the first time in my life I felt understood, and I learned that there was nothing wrong with me, I was just different. It's rare to meet another INFJ in person, but thanks to the internet, I saw that many other people had struggles similar to my own. The best piece of advice I can give to any INFJ is to put yourself first and set boundaries, then everything else will balance itself out, or in the video, care not carry. You can give advice, but you cannot fix other peoples' problems. No one else can take of your needs like you can, so it's better to do that for yourself so that you can be happy. You can't give to others if your cup is empty. It's not selfish to love yourself. You're probably better at planning than most other people, and combining that with your desire for quality, you could have some amazing adventures. I did. Get out there, step outside of your comfort zone, and people will wonder how you could do what they consider the extraordinary.

That was THE EXACT PERFECT way to explain that. Made me laugh how I felt 1000 % what you were explaining. Many, many others wont understand this. It's just crazy how it's like the rarest personality type but every single person I come into contact with tells me that they're and infj LOL Great video thank you

I would advise people to not take the letters at face value. The letters themselves are not what is important but it is the cognition the letters describe that is important. People are made of multiple parts, you are more than your ego. You have 4 different personalities within your mind and each personality is made of smaller pieces. Each cognitive trait is paired with its own motivations, worries and desires. They are bound together and do not act in a vacuum, there is a structure to the psyche that all human beings are born with. The cognitive functions themselves have inherent links with another such as Ne-Si, Ni-Se, Te-Fi and Ti-Fe. The Unconscious or shadow in the human mind is the opposite functions of the ego, while the subconscious is the reversed order of the ego and lastly the superego is both opposite and reversed from the ego. There is an observable pattern to psychological type if you look at all the personalities and their functions in a list. For example, INFJ has Ni>Fe>Ti>Se while INTJ has Ni>Te>Fi>Se. See how the middle two functions reversed in both order and orientation (Introverted or Extroverted). Just this one change makes a substantial difference in how they operate in their day to day lives, how they interact with other people and solve problems. Do not get caught up in what type you want to be and rather focus on who you actually are. INFJ is the token of 'rarity' in personality Typology and many people mistyped themselves as INFJ to feel unique. I am not claiming that is what Mary did here, just stating it is very common. Most 'INFJs' are actually INFPs and this happens because the letters do not accurately distinguish between what J and P represents. For INFJ we have J because a feeling function is in the top two of our ego which is a judgment function and the INFP has intuition in the top two which is a perceiving function. But INFJ are primarily perceiving due to Ni being the top function and INFP are primarily judging due to Fi being the top function. This is what I mean by 'do not take the letters at face value'. This will lead to misunderstanding and mistyping.

When I first took the personality test, I got INFJ. I recently took it again and got INFP-T. It’s kinda cool to see how we change as we mature and grow, but I can definitely still heavily relate to INFJ.

I knew there was something off about me after hearing multiple people say I’m the one person they’ll never figure out. It feels very alienating to never be understood by pretty much anyone but I’m glad it’s not a mental health issue. I feel like I should just embrace the weirdness and forget about what people will think

I am an INFJ but going through spiritual awakening. Being an INFJ is already confusing because of the complexity of the personality plus on top of that with my spiritual awakening, it is becoming more confusing. It's been tough for me and still going through it until now.

I doubt my infjness and after i learned the cognitif function i just realize that i'm infp not infj.. Idk maybe i'm infj with NiTi loop?? Or just infp? I still doubting myself. I'm a proscratinator, i hate structure, i love freedom for myself, i'm selfish, ilmpulsive, i dont know what should i do even for tomorrow, i've ever tried to make plans but i cant even start it, totally hates j's thing, i love to talk about myself alot (i know its annoying), i hate when someone critisized me for what i'm doing, i love art and nature, like i said.. I have clear options about what i like or hate, i apreciate every emotion, connection, and hopes in every little thing, i'm sensitive, always blaming everyone and myself for every bad situations, day dream 24/7, but in other side i'm empath (just for ppl who has/felt same condition like mine), and sometimes i got an insight and shock that it becomes real, and i always careful for what i say, think before act.. Idk who i am, infp? Infj? Or i'm just stucked in a loop?? Someone help!!

Read the cognitive functions. You are who you are. It will be far more accurate to determine if you have the cognitive stack of an INFJ, rather than relying on free tests. I've never personally met another INFJ in my life, but I've met a handful of people who claim to be one. It's only until you read the cognitive functions that you can determine whether or not it fits. As far as being "rare," we are, but this is measured on a sliding scale. If you're a women, it is more rare for you to be an INTJ or an INTP. But being INFJ is more rare than being an ISFJ, and so on. It's incorrect to romantize about being the rainbow unicorn of MBTI because there are still going to be millions of people who perceive the world in the same way as you do. You just might not meet them personally, but they'll certainly flock to videos with INFJ in the title.

For some reason I keep switching from INFJ and INFP last year at the beginning it was INFP, then around Sep. Last year it was INFJ, then took it last week and its INFP also the rarest personality type according to research
@Nephelith3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Kindred. I'm a main ADC but maybe I should start to play you to get out of elo hell... Joke aside - you don't "keep switching". It's the online tests that are unreliable (especially the one of 16personalities dot com, which is ironic and sad since it's the most popular one). The best - if not 'the only' - way to type yourself is to do it via the core of MBTI, which is the cognitive functions. Study the functions and study yourself. Online tests are sadly never reliable, as they are based on questions which answers can change following your day to day mood or actions. Your MBTI cannot change. MBTI is about how you deal with the world on the scale of your lifetime, so it is cannot be influenced by your daily changes.

Jesus.... I relate too well. Screw being INFJ it's too exhausting, Christ! It's frustrating that you tell yourself to only care and not carry, but you end up carrying everything because you think it's your responsibility to others. I think I'd prefer another 4 letter acronym than INFJ.
