I wish I had learned about this game sooner... I would have backed this game all the way. It's not unfair, having exclusive content for people who supported the game is completely natural, but it is frustrating for all latecomers. Ever since discovering this game litteraly last week I have been looking forward to being a white dragon because I saw so many in videos, so I'll admit I'm a bit sad to learn it's a kickstarter only skin.

You can still get to play as a white dragon thanks to the breeding system. Breeding for better stats and different skins is a big part of the game. I don't own the white skin myself, I was not able to back that high, but I was able to get nested in with a white parent on one of the servers.

@@Lusewing Really? This makes me so happy! So... If I understand correctly, backers can start as a white dragons but non backers can still breed white? That's good to know! Does breeding unlock the skin? Maybe not white, but say any basic skin? I know you can start with iconic or random. If you choose random and get galaxy, does in unlock galaxy so that you can now choose to start with the galaxy skin? Or will the options always be iconic and random?

@@camillepepin8512 No, but there will be skins that you can unlock to be used at the spawn menu. The Black skin for example. To get the black skin unlocked on a server: 1. Be nested in as an Iconic egg (can have any stats even F) 2. Grow to adult naturally without logging out (can be any dragon) 3. Logout or go to spawn menu, Mela will now be available on that server.

Just saying but if you choose hatchling to male, they get the father's colours and if the hatchling is female they get the mother's colours! Found that out today when I accidentally made all my hatchlings male and they all got the father's colours.

Thats not something i have noticed before, or something other have noticed at this point. It might just have been how the skin rolled. I will look further into it though. However if it is the case it wont be staying that way for sure.

@@Lusewing I think it's coded in there on purpose though since I got nested as a male Acid Spitter and I got my father's colours and when I got nested as female, got the mother's colours. Same happened with Fire Stalker. My brother was black like the father and my sister and me were both crimson coloured like our mother.

I have a question. If breeding is good for exotic skins and good stats, then how is it good for you? if you are the one who breeds, not the one who hatches with the possible better genetics? Because your genetics won't change when you breed right? Or is it that you invite yourself to your own nest somehow??? or is it just good for the one you're going to hatch. Or are you somehow able to obtain the genetics from your offspring (like becoming your offspring in a menu, if that's possible). kinda confused...

The idea with breeding in this game is to do so in a group. You are not able to take an egg from your own nest but you can from your children's nests or from another breeding pair.

It is possible if the mother doesn't break the nest to remove it, though a nest automatically breaks when the mother logs off.

@@mrjokkeee Nope, but once both parents are not nearby any dragon can go up to their nest and attack it to break it, this also technically removes all unlaid eggs from that mating.

Unfortunately no, but it is fairly easy to find or form a clan to start breeding some amazing statted dragons.

Hey luse :) I have another question about skins My friend and I are trying to die and respawn repeatedly to get piebald and burnt sky from random skin selection and we’re not doing very well is there any specific ways to die that might increase our chances at getting scuba that aren’t iconic, iconic dark, dark meadow, this is all for our acid spitters Thank you!

Your best bet is to find a Scrab and just stand on top of it. They will kill you pretty quickly. Most hatchling spawns are close to Scrab spawns.

Yeah that’s mostly what we were doing without much luck do you know if there’s a spawn rate % for the skins? We managed to get piebald after a few hours thankfully! We were trying everything pvp, starvation, dehydration, crabs etc

We are trying very hard to work out how to do it...but you never know if you have unlocked it until you try to spawn another dragon on that server. So while lots have unlocked it, we can't work out what it was that they did.

I am watching this now. Because i killed two dragons with my fs adult, i didnt know that they were breeding. After I thought about that I wondered if I can eat other eggs, I found nothing in the wiki or somewere else. So could someone help me answering this question..

At this time you cannot but there will be a future dragon, The Zygovo (a feathered micro dragon) That specifically eats eggs. It has a prehensile tail that lets it grab and run off with other player’s eggs to eat. On a lighter note, dragons that spend time around a Zygovo have an increased egg laying rate. The Zygovo is planned for patch 1.2 and will be the smallest dragon, Its currently getting its feathers added to its model and is looking adorable.

@@lorenz-ggg5062 Oh yes it can be really trick when you are caught out by more players. The new map apparently adds a lot more hidy holes and cover then the current one so let's see how that helps.

Unfortunately no, the best way to get particularly skins is to get nested in as them.

This video is a little outdated now but I'm waiting till the Update till I re-do it. Basically, once dragons have got all A stats and A Bloodline, they are good to breed with other A’s. By eldering you get a total of 4 mutation points to spend throughout your life. If all of those points are put into breeding then you maximise your chance of getting A+ and A++ stats on your hatchlings. It doesn't matter if the parents have any A+ or A++, only that they both have all A stats and are fully eldered into breeding.

@@clee33able Not at all. Full elder eggs only matter if the Elder have all of their mutation points into breeding and are all A stats. All this does is increase the chance of getting A+ and A++.

It's fairly common on PvE servers, it shouldn't be too hard to get nested in as one.

@@yannaedc5934 You can unlock the black skin in-game, and you can join the Beawesome Patreon to gain access to the red skin. You will need the higher tier (you also get the soundtrack as well) and you get to read all the lore and see behind the scenes (loving the sky jellies and glowbugs). You only need to sign up for one month - then the skin is open to use on any dragon you spawn in on and in any server.

Find a pair of nesting dragon that had at least one white parent. Then get nested in and hopefully you will hatch out white (100% if both parents are white) There is no way to unlock the skin though so if you lose that dragon you will need to do the process again.

@@Fursharp When Players nest and they have an egg ready they can invite people to the egg. Pick which server you want the dragon on and politely ask if there is anyone who has or would nest you in as white and which species. Note, you are unlikely to find white dragons on PvP servers as they stick out like a sore thumb. Also be patient and try and help people with raising babies. Nesting take a long time so it is polite to help where you can.

I belive they do now. I am going to do a new Breeding video but since breeding will be changing and getting more indepth with the 1.0 Update, and all Dragons who start on the new map will need to be fresh (the current game will be maintained as legacy) I want to wait till I see how that breeding works first.

back again, i had a couple of questions but can only remember 2 th ah kickstarter skins? how do those work with spawning? are they just automatically in your scroll bar when your picking a skin? i ask this because they seem to be impossible to get on a new server wthout kickstarter and after you are nested as that skin it apparently doesnt stay in your skin scroll bar? which honestly seems kind of unfair to me :/ i understand that its exclusive to the kickstarters but we should at least be able to keep them after we die so we actually have to work for them...? the other thing was also new dragons being spawned on a server where nobody has them when you get nested in on say a different server is that dragon now available across all servers? hypothetically how wou;d we be able to get them if no one has them?

Kickstarter skins are White and Grey. Patreon skins are Red. If you have access to the they are on your scroll wheel to select at spawn. There is currently only one skin you can unlock to be then used at spawn and that is the black skin (more are planned) You can always nest in to get one of the Kickstarter skins, just like the crafted skins. All unlocks, be they dragons, skins or anything else, is only unlocked per server.

Eating mushrooms tied to your dragon. 2 will get you an extra point and fully reach to Alpha will get you the fourth.

Yes and no. In order to get better stats on your dragons you need to breed with dragons of the same or better stats. Then those babies will hopefully have improved stats. You will need to hatch out as a dragon of good parents to increase your chances of getting a good stat dragon.
