I hope you remembered to buy a letter/parcel opener at the souvenir shop so you won't have to use your keys any more! Cool day trip. Would love to be able to travel around France to see all of the towns and historical sites that abound across the country. We're making plans to be there within the next 5 years, so...fingers crossed!

I went to Provins in April 2013. Didn't see half of the town but was there for the best jousting match I'd ever seen along with a live-show on birds of prey (I did visit the main church). I stopped for coffee and sweet crepes at a shop -- great day trip. Small town that gets completely overlooked. Worth the visit.

Great video, definitely will do this if I’m lucky enough to return to Paris xx my favourite church from my recent visit was Sainte Chapelle, I was astounded by the stained glass windows xx

Thank you for visiting my department. Seine-et-Marne is full of historic places like the medieval castle of Blandy-les-tours, the cathedral of Meaux, Fontainebleau and Vaux-le-Vicomte. Without forgetting, the typical villages like Barbizon or Moret-sur-Loing.

When I toured France 25 years ago, we brought the Michelin guide (green) which gave us lots of info on sights for even very small towns. It would clearly be very helpful on such a day trip.

I really enjoy these day trip vlogs.Nice to see cool places not far from Paris.I've taken a few day trips from Paris in the past but I found my choices were always a bit disappointing.If only I'd seen some of your day trip choices years earlier.I'll be in Paris next month but unfortunately I don't have the time or money for a day trip.But Provins looks pretty amazing and I look forward to your trip to Reims.At least I can see some of these places through your vlog.Thanks for that.

Great seeing Proving again through your lens Jay! We took a day tour to see the Ramparts show with birds of prey and play acting of the medieval kind. Those birds have a tracking device on them and can be found if they fly away too far. The show is in French but just seeing the actions of the actors gives one n idea of what going on. We also had the crepes at Mammy's!

Quite interesting! Would love to see more day trips! One quibble: the second syllable of ‘Provins’’ sounds like ‘vin’ not ‘vent’. And if you pronounce the ‘s’ it would sound like ‘province’ not ‘Provence’.
@300books5 жыл бұрын
Good point. I noticed that some speakers have trouble between "vin" and "vent". They can't tell the difference between the two sounds.
@AC-yl7rg Жыл бұрын
My understanding is that the final S is pronounced so the last syllable roughly rhymes with the word “dance” or “chance” in English.

Hey Jay! Please have more day trips like this from Paris. We actually did this day trip when we were there 2 years ago. I wish I knew ahead of time how to have made this day trip more efficiently. It may be a long time from now until we can travel again from the US, but I find myself watching lots of videos of places I would love to see in my travels. Something that can be planned and done on a DIY/budget manner. That is how I found your channel about how to use the metro. By far, the most useful video I saw when I was planning our trip. I wish the best for you. Stay safe out there.

One of the main reasons you cannot have your own moat is because then, the fire department can't get the truck close enough to put out the fire. So you can't have one.

Your vlogs are so engaging, butt I find myself wishing you had more stabilization. I haven't watched enough of the vlogs to tell what gear you used or if you talked about it before, but have you thought about getting an Osmo Pocket? The face tracking and smooth motion are really nice.

Around 6:40 he said “my gimbal is fighting me because it doesn’t want to leave my face” so I’m pretty sure he uses the osmo pocket!

@jessicaabroad13914 жыл бұрын
Colmar is 5-6 hours round trip from Paris so it would be pretty intense for a day trip, I’d recommend spending the night or visiting Strasbourg and taking it as a day trip from there.
