The thick foam handle is not more expensive, just not as popular. So the cheaper bows that is for mass market will tend to have handles closer to what other archers are used to...

Shorter brace height on the Korean bows makes string slap more likely. Common advice for avoiding string slap will work, it is just harder to avoid with shorter brace heights.

Nice Video! The really cool thing about this bow is that it's also available in a 95 pound version. It's hard to find high quality bows with a heavy draw weight. I actually wish Daylite would make higher draw weights than 95 too, but it seems they only go up to 95 pounds.

I ordered one of these and I'm so excited but it's been stuck in customs for almost two weeks now.

Korean bows have lower brace height so the string is more likely to hit your arm. Korean style is you grip the bow with the string 30-45 degrees away from your arm. Pulling the string straight back creates the needed torque so the arrow clears the bow on release and no string slap on the arm. Other khatra styles also work...

To avoid hitting your forearm you might want to check the fistmelle of the bow and put it to 6'', which is the typical maximum for this kind of bows. Another thing that might help is using an oblique grip so you get a side khatra when releasing (it's has worked for me so far).

Mine is 40#. I do not get wrist slap with any of my Asian bows. I do love this bow, except for the arrow pass which I had to replace.

If you're experiencing string slap still, your brace height may be too low. If your brace height is correct, are you rotating your elbow away from the bow? That would help with alignment

Hello there, nice review! What kind of arrows are they with the blunt tips? Any links? Thank you

Hi! thank you for your response (and email). I use Bearpaw Penthalon (carbon) arrows in this video. The blunt is a screw on blunt from bearpaw. So these are switchable with sharp tips as well. I recommend 32" due to draw length
