I have a one question sir. Just today arrived my first bow-Daylite Arsenal 50" 45pound. When I draw a bow, about a maximal lenght off draw30-31" I hear a very little "crack" like some "sticker" moved. If I hold it in full draw, no other voice coming out. It is "normall" or its some danger to use it? Thanks for any answer from you, or other experienced shooters here. Have a nice day guys

@@Slovan.nie.kolaborant Hey Marcel. To be honest, the first bow I recieved broke. I strung the bow, and draw it no more than 29" a few times, and poff, the upper limb came apart. They sent me a new one, pretty quick. And this bow didnt have any problems at all. If the bow manual dont say anything about your issue, its easy to contact Daylite, they answer in like 1-2 day(s). @@endresimonsen6556 Man, now you scared me to give a shot with it 😅 If yours Arsenal broke, in that "way" . Other side is pricelist, i payed for bow, six arows, and extra string 300hundred dollars+taxes in EU 115dollars final price 415$...if they will send me a new bow, i will need to pay atleast that 100$ tax extra again(probably). But tomorrow im going to use a safety glases, and try to give a shot. Maybe im just "paranoid" and that little sticky-cracky noice is nothing to care. Already contacted Daylite by mail, I bought it straight from company. Let see what they will answer. But huge thanx for answer, and friendly way off care. Have a nice rest off day man.

Hmmm... not sure how I feel about this? Part of the appeal to shooting horse bows, for me at least, is shooting off my hand. I feel more attached to the shot, similar to driving an automatic shift car versus a manual shift where I feel I am much more connected to the car when I am shifting the transmission/gear box.

A little beauty of a bow .... very versatile ... but you mentioned a slightly longer one coming soon , which would make me (and my fat fingers) much happier. for protection at the arrow pass, you could use stick on velcro tabs (get them at your local hardware store) they are easily removed and replaced and will prevent scratches, and they're really cheap.

Just speculating now. If the arrow shelf is made a bit narrower could this bow be safely made into a double shelfed configuration? Would a double sided set up solve learning tp torque the arrow for new shooters? Making the bow so would encourage a straight pull through no matter how the arrow/string is grasped. Sorry for making trouble. Inquiring minds want to know. You are the most thoughtful archery tackle coach/reviewer on KZbin. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

I owned a kaya Kahn . Years ago . It would have been a "first" Korean style laminated bow with a shelf . I sold it ,moved on to a windfighter and thumb draw . That was 10 years or so ago . Plus or minus .

I know that kind of quiver either for the packpockets of pants or for facing the arrows backwards, like the ones that stick under your belt. Nice Bow btw.

At first I was thinking, why would you want a Korean bow for mediterranean release in the first place. Just use any other bow. But now that I think about it, it's still a thumb shooter, with the benefit of an almost center shot on the other side, for when your thumb gets sore, but you still want to shoot. Not a bad idea at all.

Beside thumb draw I shoot ocasionally three finger with korean 48" bow. I can shoot it "very precisely" even with no shelf. I do inward kathra, but you have to do it just in minnimalistic manner otherwise you will hit your forearm. Just like native americans did it with their short bows. Panagiotis Saltzis Kavalieratos is guy who inspired me to try it, and it's only style I like as much as thumb draw. Bow looks good, but I would be concerned about durability of that narrow part. Quality content as always !

The limbs just above and below the handle are a little thicker than you find on other Korean bows. That would take care of the narrower width of the upper limb at the cut away when it comes to handling the stresses when drawing and holding at full draw.

I picked up this bow. L53" 50# shelf on the left. I draw 32" And it is fantastic smooth. Thumb release. It comes with a leather shelf patch. That can be glued on. Do you recommend putting it on. I put it on and am thinking about taking it off. 🤔 Hmmm.

I remember the Kaya Khan had a shelf then they stopped making it, wonder if Daylite will do the same if there is a lack of demand or if too many break.

I owned a Khan . It was fun sold it Moved on to windfighter and thumb draw . It was strongly recommended Not to draw past 28 . Which was fine for me . I'm short ,my draw is 26 to my favorite anchor .

They don’t list any arrow weight information for any of their bows. I contacted Daylite directly, they recommend 0.21 grains of arrow for every inch of draw length as a minimum

Is it the bow or how easy you can shoot it, I can see a few puzzled buyers.... Great bow (which it looks) but they can't get it to do what you do.... Maybe miss a few every now and then.... No keep shooting straight it's great to see you change style to overcome I'll suited arrows for a particular style...

At 32" the angle of the string with the limb reaches 90° and the bow starts to stack , like all bows .

Hey Armin, ich fände es echt toll wenn du dir die top ten Bögen 2021, raussuchst, und diese dann kritisch bewertest. Also im direkten Vergleich 10 von 10 erreicht also nur der Beste und die anderen dem entsprechend weniger. Gnadenlos bis hin zu unfair. Hauptsache es ist ehrlich. Deine sonstigen Bewertungen sind halt total untauglich um Bögen zu vergleichen. (Ich verstehe den Ansatz dahinter, hilft mir aber bei meiner Kaufentscheidung wenig, und so geht es vielen.) Fair bewertet hast du ja nun alle schon, jetzt lass sie gegen einander antreten. 😉💪

Armin is it possible that 32" is the max safe draw and not the max as others understand it? If I remember correctly the Koreans have a concept of overdrawing a bow for extra power if needed.

If the bow is symetric, there could be another arrow shelf on the bottom of handle for both hands shooting. Of course korean bows have their own one side handle but this is no more korean style bow.

i dont think any bows are symmetric, as in the middle of the handle is in the middle of the bow, I think they are biased towards the Knocking Point so you are as close to releasing arrow at centre, thats why the KP is higher than the centre of the string to compensate. At 16:18 in video you can see where the poundage meter is knocked on the string and where the handle is balanced to see this difference. Except when you go to compound/recurve bows it more centralised, please correct me if I'm wrong though.

Armin Ustath! been shooting 700-Spine Arrows on my 55# NomadWarriors Bow, and the arrow has 175-Grain tip! And it's hitting Dead Center! Does spine really matter if you're shooting thumb draw? 🤯

Does the arrow fly straight or is it flying sideways at all? You loose a lot of speed if the arrow is sideways... Otherwise, congrats on the good technique!

Doesn't matter if you're hitting dead centre as you can compensate for any arrow. I wouldn't use anything over 400 even for 35 ibs Otherwise I see the arrow bend all over the place in the air but that heavy tip does help a lot.

Yes even non Koreans can/able to make korean bows. I don't like bows from Korea. Laminated ones anyway. They use cheap stickers that look terrible on the bow and charge lots for them

@@OpiatesAndTits I'd take the 53 as it's going to be less stress on the now and you have the option to pull longer arrows if you or a guest wanted to try, with instinctive aiming your draw length can be played with which I like 🙂

@@Slovan.nie.kolaborant when one of my arsenal made a crack sound the carbon layer had actually split so I would put the bow under light strain and Chech every inch of it. If it's all fine put it under moderate stress and do the same. If all's well try it as normal but slowly and listen for any more cracking sounds. One cracking sound on first shoot might just be settling in. To be honest the only two bows of mine to make a crack sound where flawed 😕.
