Bon Jovi's got such a great voice no matter what volume he chooses to sing at!

Angela you got the exact meaning of this song This song uses Old West cowboy imagery to describe the lonely life of a rock star. At the time, starting with their debut album in 1984, Bon Jovi played about 300 shows a year, using the remaining time to work on albums. When it came time to write for their third album, Slippery When Wet, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora wrote this song about what they knew: performing to lots of people who all blended together after a while.

Life of a band on tour. This is considered the band's anthem and its amazing! Just and FYI, Blaze of Glory is Jon Bon Jovi solo, not the band Bon Jovi

Great guitar solo. Richie Sambora hits those pinch harmonics and that guitar screams.

So glad you enjoyed it. My first concert when I was just 15 was Bon Jovi opening up for Ratt at the Philadelphia Spectrum in the mid 80s. Nothing compares to hair bands of that time. Rock on sweetie 🤘

Honest talk: I was never a fan of 80’s hair bands, or this genre of rock, but this song did catch my attention when it came out, and I liked it. There’s a layer of depth and truth in it, and the singing and playing was excellent. Well done, Bon Jovi. You made me like you.

Back in the mid-to-late 80's the girls were crazy for Bon Jovi, and Jon in particular. All of the girls I hung out with in high school were crazy for him. One such friend called him her husband. lol And so the song to me is speaking of how it is being a rock star.

This song changed a lot of people's minds on Bon Jovi back on the day. They went from typical good time glam rock band to being able to craft creatively introspective rock. I loved the Western imagery combined with the then modern rock. A year later, Poison would also mimic Bon Jovi with their song "Every Rose has it's Thorn." I remember guys quoting that song when signing Yearbooks thinking it would make them look cool and sensitive. 😂

Angela, I was fortunate to see them six times between 1866-1995. Six of the best shows I’ve ever seen. They were in their prime and sounded amazing. It was a great time for music and seeing live shows.

Jon Bon Jovi…solo project. Jon played it with the band after the fact, but it was originally done with different musicians and backup vocals. Jeff Beck was epic on guitar.

I do like this song because I believe they wrote it wanting to portray the struggles and challenges of being a rock and rolll performer, or any kind of entertainer! It's a similar message to Bob Segers' song Turn The Page and Journey's Faithfully! I wouldn't want to be any kind of performer or entertainer because people can take your soul and destroy you if you let them! Bye! I wanted to also include the song The Load by Jackson Browne that has a similar theme! Listen to the full version that's over 9 min long! Goodbye!

It's funny that you brought up the song "Blaze of Glory" because that song was from the soundtrack for the movie "Young Guns II". The film makers asked Bon Jovi if they could use "Wanted Dead or Alive" for the soundtrack but Jon told them he'd rather write a new song for it and came up with "Blaze of Glory".

Just subscribed! Blaze Of Glory is my fav, which you mentioned. It was written by Jon for the movie Young Guns 2. Jon also performs it with the band, but the official track or video is the only way to hear it with Jeff Beck, and the most incredible guitar solo ever. Not sure if you shown it on your channel, but here’s the link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5fQinaDaaiGbtEsi=z8E6su1b5IpmDG8P
