For a bit of clarification: When Dave and Henry killed Dee, they tried to frame Jack, the protagonist, and got him springlocked. Then, the Real Fredbear brought him back to life, but only if he promised he would save all of the souls. He agreed, and Jack was split into 2. Shadow Doggo, his spirit, and Jack, what remained of his body.

That 3rd entry in the series did not need to go as hard as it did Also I personally found Henry and Daves backstory pretty interesting, their backstories were elaborated on in a Tumblr post I think? Essentially Henry was the breadwinner of his family ever since he could delivery newspapers, having an alcoholic father. He went on to become a Weapons Developer for the Military, and quit so he could open a circus. That's when he found Dave, an orphan child who followed Henry across the country to see his shows. One day the circus got shut down because of a bunch of murders, which the Lion Tamer was arrested for (we all know it was Henry), and so Dave approached Henry about how much he changed his life. Henry decided to keep the poor boy around, and they've had their toxic relationship ever since

Also also, listening to those same tapes, you can find out that he was not always "evil". He was first springlocked (Henry rigged the suit to fail and the failure probably made him turn purple) and after that, as his soul refused to move on, Henry saw it as an opportunity to brainwash him to commit the murders and LITERALLY remove parts of his brain. Honestly, William/Dave had such a tragic backstory, he deserves peace at the end.

I think the reason DSaF 3 was able to pull the strings of so many people was it being an RPG. In the point and click horror games like 1-6, there wasn't much room to tell a beautiful story. However, RPGs are genres that mostly focus specifically on storytelling. If FNaF itself told it's story like an RPG, it's story would be much more powerful.

I've always loved DSAF since it came out in 2016 before SL. I've gotten almost every ending, and while the humor can be a bit crude, it holds up and doesn't fail to make me laugh. There's some lore bits that don't fit exactly right (particularly in 3 compared to 1 and 2 which mesh together much better), but it's intricate like the official games while still being fairly easy to digest and figure out. The thing about Jack is that he worked at the orginal Fredbear's Family Dinner as a night guard. During one of his shifts, the animatronics catches him and stuffs he into a springlock suit, and is killed when they go off. Jack's soul would leave his body, but refuses to move on and takes the form of his dog that died, and takes the name Blackjack. Jack's body would be resurrected by the Real Fredbear, who tasks him to free every soul affected by the Fazbender brand. The latter character doesn't have a soul though, as it was already taken a life as it's own as the former. When Jack freed Dave, Dee, Peter, Steven, and his own soul Blackjack in the good ending of DSAF3, he wasn't able to move on with them, as he was essentially a meat sack. When he burns in his Freddy's location with Davetrap and his animatronic army, he dies for good, but goes happily knowing the others moved on.

His soul moved from his body, leaving his corpse. The Real Fredbear appeared before him, promising to bring him life if he gave the victims of Freddy's their Happiest Day. It's nice to see dsaf get some attention, I just wanted wanted throw in that If you're looking to make full timeline or just generally learn more about the story, there is more lore revealed by doggo on his tumblr! (He gave more context about Dave and Henry's relationship, and reveals an important interaction that they had in a short story called 'Nothing'. It was set before Dave got springlocked and Henry started experimenting on him, and you learn a bit more about Henry's motivation.) You also get more insight on Henry's backstory too which you don't really learn about as much in the main games, and you learn more about other characters and such. Just thought this could be interesting, but there is actually a lot hidden things in the main games too like Henry's cassettes among other things.

about jack and his soul being separate, when the real fredbear revived jack after he was springlocked, he couldnt bring his soul back
@raymondnoodles82062 жыл бұрын
The reason why Jacks soul is a dog because TLDR: he got springlocked in fredbears after being caught by animatronics and made a deal with the real fredbear to let his corpse live again without his soul. Requiring him to put on lots of orange makeup. His soul is a dog because his dog sparky was the last family member he saw until his soul left his body Long version in DSaF 2 it was revealed he was the night guard at fredbears and the animatronics found him and stuffed him into a fredbear suit. He couldn’t control his breathing and the locks went off. Henry went into the back to stuff a child into spring Bonnie and realized jack was in there. Went jack tried to cry for help he couldn’t because his vocal cords were severed and he couldn’t talk. Henry left the room laughing and even ending up pinning the murder on jack. What happens next is that the Fred bear suit is actually start talking to jack (implying this suit it the real fredbear) and told him he could give him life in his corpse but he could never put his soul back in his body. He agrees and he has deep scars and has to put on orange makeup everyday to hide his flesh. He sees the shadow dog go for many years not know what it was other than thinking it was the ghost of his dog sparky. What it actually was is his soul and was a dog because sparky was the last alive family member that jack had seen before his soul death in fredbears

As someone who loves these games and their lore, I actually like DSaF 2 the best. It has the perfect blend of humor, tons of endings, Easter eggs, and perfect hidden lore. Dsaf 1 is similar to FNaF 1 with very little lore and setting up the games. DSaF 3 reflects pizza sim in its gameplay and approach to lore being more forthcoming about it. That leaves DSaF 2 reflecting Fnafs golden years, with so much packed into the game, and lore which you can piece together without being explicitly told. You also have the Evil Jack Easter egg which is insane and changes the game up a bit in an amazing way. DirectDoggo also gets good at trying to make the player feel more guilty with Phone guys speech and Dave fearing you in the “An Ending” ending, which he perfects in DSaF 3 doing his best to make you feel bad by murdering a super young child, killing Dave (most peoples allure) and more phone guy speeches. Anyway that’s my two cents (hopefully all of it) and easily my favorite FNaF fan series (TJoC story mode takes top gameplay, and honorable mention to ONaF 3 for how much I enjoyed the flumpty twist!!)

Just saying this since dsaf 4 mentioned, yeah this definitely isn’t gonna be made. But remember the creator did make another game called dialtown, which actually released recently. I’ll say this it ofc doesn’t have the exact humor buts it’s still charming in its own good way. If you’d want more from this creator go check it out. The dayshift series hold a special place in my heart for a lot of different reasons. So I’m glad seeing a video being made on it.

One thing that's interesting is, this game played with the concept of someone studying the phenomenon of souls giving life to robots, I think before any of the remnant stuff from the later games! In the third game, if you get an office for you, you can at some point listen to a couple tapes recorded by Dr. Henry Miller, the real monster in the series, where he talks about some of those concepts. Also... the absolute worst ending you can get is... very depressing and even dark.

The absolute worst ending made me stare at a wall for a solid minute... Legacy Jack is... Amazing but also the worst man
@Mike14264 Жыл бұрын
@@elvingearmasterirma7241 if you're talking about the regular ending, where you really just focus on reviving Freddy's... then Jack merely becomes the kind of man I hate the most. If you fully team up with Feral Dave/Davetrap... yeah, that's the ending I'm referring to.

@@Mike14264 I mean the one where he teams up with springdave and basically gives Henry a run for his money (Though where Jack roasted Sprindave until he cried was hilarious. That made me cackle)

@@Mike14264 I call him Legacy Jack because in the second game after he ehm ends the essence of childhood Blackjack says: Is this your legacy? And it stuck in the fandom

DSaF is probably the funniest FNaF spin-off series. Never fails to make me laugh. Not to mention all the nonsense humor

I discovered dsaf last year, I’m not even sure why but it’s remained my favorite fan game despite everything else I have played. I really enjoy the humor and the story telling in it.

Would love to see you cover the fan game Animator's Hell on this channel, it's a very polished fnaf game made by SFM Animator's with 30 completely original animatronics based off of different SFM content creators. The game is similar to UCN due to you having to pick which animatronics are in the night. A defining detail is that there are very few still models in the game and the cameras (and office) feel more then just a power point presentation. It also has many voice lines for each character after they kill you. The game can be found on Gamejolt.

This series feels like a playabale KZbin Poop. But later, it feels like a KZbin Poop by someone with a writing degree.

Have you seen the phone guy's back stories in dsaf 3? Henry, jack and roger? Theres special conditions to see where they came from! Theres surprisingly deep lore to the phone guys If you liked dsaf, id urge you to try dialtown! Made by the same dev, directdoggo, Its definitely absurd, but sometimes can be wholesome too!

Quick bit of why Jack and his soul are separate, see, The REAL Fredbear revived him, but, he couldn't get his soul back, so they're separate.
