Great video! If you redo it at some point, for us noobies some info/graphics about the ammo wpuld be helpful. i struggle remembering the dofferent ammo types and rely on visuals a lot to aide.

you forgot my bk-18. Anyway, this is my first time playing dayz and the first gun I picked up was a bk-18 and I only had ammo after playing for another 45 minutes. But, currently I have a base in a large shed with 2 m2s 8 large tents 3 car tents and 3 medium tents. No Im not being sarcastic. My current load out is an m4al with a vsd and a pocket grnade launcher with explosive and po-x grenades.

I'd put the Bizon above the Scorpion at least. Sure, it may jam on you, but certainly way past the point where you'd have to switch to another magazine in the Scorpion. Been using the Bizon for three years straight now as zombie squish tool and backup, and it may have jammed on me once. I don't even remember. Then again I never go Rambo with it. Single ones or small bursts only. No complaints. And it's way more comfortable to aim with it, the sights on the Scorpion are so bad.

What I would find (good list, by the way, even though I don't agree 100%) more interesting than a tier list, is a "I'd swap for that" list, weapon for weapon. Like... what would you drop for a KA-74U? What would you drop for an M16-A2? Reason being, that's how you make those decisions in-game. Ideally considering attachments and likelihood of finding those, too. Reason being that, yes, finding a revolver makes you happier than finding a (potentially magless) FN-X, but would you drop the FN-X with mag for a revolver? Would you drop a P1 for a Derringer (I know, the derringer is so small you could always grab it additionally, but on principal?)? ALSO... what I would find really interesting is a tier list or general rating of guns with their ROLE in mind. Like... sidearm, hunting weapon, long-range, CQC. In that regard, to me at least, the DMR reigns supreme (obviously), because it's just an SKS on steroids, it can do everything, except be quiet. Hunting, sniping, and has a good enough rate of fire and mag size for CQC, too. When I have one, I drop everything else usually, except for my sidearm, which would probably be a silenced FN-X over an MK II, but not by a big margin. But other guns aren't that versatile. For instance, I absolutely detest unscopable rifles. I'd rather carry a hunting-scoped CR-527 and a SG5-K/USG-45 than an M16-A2, KA-74U or even LE-MAS. I guess to a point that's just down to playstyle, though.

Double shot blaze is the best sniper. Will 1 shot geared players at range, nothing else does that. Has a hunting scope and competes with the DMR on single shot.

Whenever I have a base on official, the LAR is my first choice. Specifically when I have a base because I can store my other guns, and just carry the LAR with a 6x. It will do everything, doesn’t snipe as well as a tundra or DMR, but works fine. And it’s extremely deadly up close if you hit your shots. Saves on stamina and allows me to pick up another rifle I’ve found or looted from someone.

As weird as it sounds the m16 in burst has some of the fastest time to kill. I’ve dropped so many people fully geared.

Another reason the mk2 is nice is the fact that it's low cal, if you are trying to save your teammate from being jumped by zombies you don't have to worry about killing the teammate

The MK II is a tool, not a weapon. Makes carrying any other pistol obsolete in late game. The LAR is the only rifle you need. Devastating at short range and packs a punch with a scope also.

i think the sval/vss could be argued for a higher spot because of this specific feature, that being, when other suppressed weapons are fired, you hear the snap, and generally the shooter is in the opposite direction of the sound of the snap this logic is defeated by the fact that subsonic rounds do not produce a snap at all, because the snap is caused by the sonic boom of a supersonic round meaning that there is next to no audio queue at all whatsoever as to the location of the shooter, which means that if you're in a good spot and someone isnt gonna just immediately flick around and see you, you will almost certainly kill anyone that you get the initiative on before they can even comprehend theyre being shot at or from where also the famas i think could be argued to be the best AR in the game, and my reasoning for that is literally nobody uses an M4 past 50 meters, they pull out their DMR or their mosin instead and the famas simply shreds way harder in CQB, so what is the point in having a more versatile weapon (M4A1) when your not going to use that versatility, and then get shredded by the guy who has a famas, and although it cannot take attachments, it can fit in many clothing options, making it possible to carry 3 primary weapons, a huge benefit to any kit, especially when you're as lategame as the famas is, the major downside definitely being the 25round magazine limitation

One time on while looting the houses along the coast in elktro a guy with a 74u attacked me. He put four shots in me and I put one in him and came out on top. For a single shot it's surprisingly useful. I really like the sights on it too.

Tip! Bk-18 is locked at 200 m zero (most cases you engage at 100 or less) aim for upper chest to hit head. Or else if you aim for head it’s gonna be a trump graze.

could you elaborate about flesh rounds? cuz on dayz wiki it says that 545x39 does more damage, i cant find anywhere that its a flesh round

5.45 does not hold the schock dmg that the 7.62 and 5.56 do. IRL 5.45 is a flesh round, in the game they make it a flesh round by lowering it's shock value and raising it's bleed probability. :)

The ak’s are great guns in dayz. I’ll often only trade them out for augax’s and sometimes m4’s if im setup with mags

Really like your tierlist. The revolver is my ak nowadays cause im afraid of everything and just crawl from tree to tree exploring good sniper spots. That said im using a cr-527 for sniping. mk 2 for z´s and revolver + derringer ( on z key ) for sth. that jumps out of the bush. And my 2nd shoulderplace is always for a crafted rod with a bone and a worm in it because i am a slowpoke. *greetings*

There's better guns, but I have a soft spot for the SKS, and it's probably the one I have the most kills with. It's just easy to get running early, no mag required. Does plenty of damage, and the accuracy and fire rate are good enough.

I started playing this game 2 weeks ago and allready have 80+ hours 😂 but what’s weird how did I never find an MP5 or a M16 and Glocks are also really rare on my maps I had like 2 or 3 wich isn’t much I had like 2500 IJ-70 and that XA or what it’s called but I never find glocks

@@motwhom3230 Subsonic bullets don't break the sound barrier which is where a majority of the noise from gun shooting comes from on top of that the asval and vss are integrally suppressed.

I clip a lot of players with the CR-527, its my favorite rifle, especially if I find a scope. Even with armor... headshot is a headshot. The composite chest plate does nothing. 😂 But to be fair, I haven't gotten further in than middle of the map yet. I just started DayZ a couple weeks ago. So I don't really know much better.

The Vikhr is highly underrated and idk why. 30 mag of AP rounds on a gun with 0 recoil. Use the iton sights and hit your shots

Biggest Trivial Nerd Hangup: The Blaze shoots the same .308 the M14 DMR does. It ought to be the same damage rating. Pretty sure the Blaze actually has a longer barrel, and its not gas operated so none of the charge is being drawn off to work the bolt. Should actually hit harder and be more accurate. And it should have a 12ga shotty on top, not a 2nd rifle barrel too. Idk if they make an over/under with 2 rifle barrels. Sometimes you see like... 30.06 or .308 with a .22 on top. The idea is to have one gun to hunt rabbits and deer with. Or to have a slug ready in case the 1st shot didn't drop that bear or moose now running toward you.

Blazer will make the B95 with whatever barrels you want. It’s a 5000+ dollar rifle. The double rifle versions are quite popular with big game hunters. I would like to see a combo gun version of the Blaze with a 12g and .308 though.

there is no "adjustment" in this list that depends what you find/loot. i mean that almost everytime i play dayz, i find plenty of same kind of ammo and because of that i have some favorite weapons based by my ammo. (shotguns are easy to find and there's lots of ammo to it almost everywhere) another maps i have mp5 but its pretty useless because ammo to it is so rare to find (and when you find there is barely twelve cartridges etc...) that its almost useless (and it also fires full auto so magazine is empty very quickly) you could do this list based by ammo that is almost everywhere and ammo that is so rare that gun is almost useless :) thx

i know you play pc so it might be diffrent but the crossbow is more silent than the mk2 pistol. it is not even audible for zombies at any range and the pistol is within 6 meters. its hard to say which is better but i did want to point out the crossbow is the most silent weapon. also a personal fav of mine.

As a coast fight enthusiest, there is no FUCKING way you just put the BK-18 under the Sporter. And heres my argument how you did it wrong. With the BK-18, its accurate, and extremely powerful for low armor targets. You're not gonna fuck up someone with military gear, but someone who just got a stab vest from a PD is gonna atleast get uncon. The sporter... Oh my god... You gotta pray, that one of the 30 shots you shoot, HAPPENS to not only be where you're aiming, but also be a headshot to even make a DENT in even a fresh spawn.

fell in love with the dmr after a tisy run went bad within 2 seconds literally of entering both my friends got mirked and I decided fuck it im going to Valhalla with them ie the coast, started shit talking on the mic the sval ran out of ammo have no clue how dude didn't hit me given he had the large cap mag on the ak74 ended up pulling out the dmr after killing the first guy then just started talking smack over the mic and was trying to get my guy killed but my lord the dmr is an amazing sniper and battle rifle cause I won the fight, dude got knocked first I walked off trying to alert anyone around to me then dude was bandaging after I knocked him then just walked up behind him and executed him , did not go to valhallah with my boys and just walked back, since wipe days coming and we have so much shit stashed im legit tempted to just start giving some of the spare lars and dmrs we got out to freshies especially the weekend before wipe day and just see what hell breaks loose

Until crossbow I was like okay okay.. but crossbow is S tier imo. Unlimited ammo, is very quiet, can take a scope unlike mk22, zombie killing machine, knocks players one shot granted you have to hit it because reload is very long but still, plus its the most fun weapon to use in the game.

KA-74, M16A2, CR-550, AUG A1 & Deagle should've been low-end A Tier. CR-527 & Repeater should've been low-end B Tier. SSG-82 belongs in C Tier.

wish the devs left the new sniper out of the game like this vid lol. All seriousness it’s a mag fed watered down mosin clone that does less damage and is 3x as heavy as any other sniper to carry. Picking up the rifle literally bites a chunk off your stamina, thing weighs like 9 KG for some reason. Plus mags.

In my opinion, the VSD is better than the DMR, for the simple reason of being the only sniper in the game with a designated suppressor.

Fun fact, 7.62x54 is pretty much the same as .308 Most military weapons that shoot 7.62x54 can also fire .308. Even a few civilian styles can as well. Surprised they didn't fit this in game.....
