I love him trying to figure out how well socks could be used as sanitary pads. I. All reality they wouldn’t be terrible, but if your on a heavy flow it could leak through. Not to mention how much extra cleaning you would have to do to the socks, and then through them in with your clothes. It’s best as an ABSOLUTE last case scenario.

I used to use toilet paper and paper towels myself for a while as I grew up pretty poor lol 😅 But I don't think it's very safe using strangers socks as pads because sometimes you can't wash all the micro bacteria out of fabrics. Ever had socks or underwear that still smelled a bit funky even after thoroughly washing them? Maybe that's bacterial buildup? Maybe some fungi could live in fibers no matter how much you wash them. She doesn't know who these socks come from, or if they could have fungal infections that might be passed onto her. If they were new socks then that'd be okay. But I'd suggest washing them very regularly because of bacterial buildup that makes things pretty gross 😅😅. I'm honestly just worried about her health and safety 😬😅
