The part that ruins Buck's character for me is during the second time the entire town bullies his son. It would've been far better for that moment to have him actually stand up for himself and point out the fact that all of these adults are bullying a small child after it was their decision to freak out over what that child said. That should've been the moment that he put his foot down. Even if he doesn't really believe Chicken Little. That was the moment that Chicken Little needed him the most. Truly there are no worse parental figures out there than him.

Or you know, make him support him but slowly make Buck join the crew in an actual parental way, like ask him evidence of what he's saying is correct (based in the weird way he acted earlier that night similar to a year ago), which he does lacks, and then be angry for waking up half the city for no reason. Make Buck wanting to trust and support Chicken Little but being unable to due to the seemed, a disappointed parent for the seemingly irresponsible and dangerous behavior of his only child. Also, make him worry about the bullying but make him give a solution that doesn't work for his case, like talking with Foxie which would not work because with all the city he still has the image of the dumb chick who said the sky is falling.
@Wulfjager Жыл бұрын

Fun fact: While I thought this movie was "ok," the original concept looked miles better. Chicken Little and the Ugly Duckling were gender swapped in this version, Chicken Little was a bit more paranoid, she still didn't have the greatest relationship with her father but he seemed a bit nicer, and it was supposed to be about her going to summer camp to have her anxiety lowered and get a better relationship with her father. Also the camp counselor was secretly a wolf in disguise, Chicken Little being the only one to see through that disguise.

The deleted scene from the original concept they recorded and storyboard does this pretty well, he is frustrated and yelling about being assaulted multiple times, and yells in the heat of the moment he wished his daughter was more normal, only to instantly realize what he did and instantly goes to fix it, In this whenever he does something terrible he just ignores his son immediately after, and only begrudgingly starts to care when he is forced to

This movie does so much wrong, Everyone's such a massive bully to Chicken Little, with the entire town bullying him, his own terrible father completely emotionally distances himself from him, siding with said bullies, it's humor is either really mean, or just not funny, and it's attempts at being like _Shrek,_ (parodying fairytales and using pop songs and pop culture references,) completely fall flat. But Kirby is cute, I really feel Chicken Little's struggle, and I still have the tiniest ping of nostalgia for it. Overall, definitely *not* Disney's best, possibly it's worse. R.I.P. This isn't an adaptation of the Boy Who Cried Wolf which is a story of someone who makes fun people who respond to a dangerous situation and pays for it. the thing for me with this movie when i was younger was that i always liked the first half BEFORE it went into the alien stuff. i don't know why, but as someone who went through being an outcast who to this day still doesn't know WHY an entire agegroup of kids in my town hated me so much, even when i started 8th grade at a new school everyone seemed to know me and hated me for no reason i know of. i never did anything bad. i moved when i was younger into a completely new province and just suffered endless bullying for my dialect (i'm norwegian for those wondering). chicken being treated so horribly for no reason probably gave me some kind of bond to him. my dad, even though he loves me, was a doormat while me and my mom fought CONSTANTLY. it was incredibly bad, and maybe some part of me always liked that despite it all, he has his outcast friends, something even i didn't have for a while. the alien stuff i never remembered LMAO. the second the plate came in my brain shut off as a kid and i stopped caring. that bully becoming a pastel princess in the end was something i did not remember and no i am horrified

This movie had a ton of executive interference that made the film worse at every turn. It's production is very sad

I think it's telling that more people (me included) remember the songs from the movie more than the movie itself. At least they succedd in making everybody agree' this is the worst father in Disney history'? xD

This was actually one of my favourite childhood movies, Slovenian dub made it so memorable we didn't really think of how little sense the story made. Also it helped that Chicken Little didn't sound like a middle aged man, but I digress. The one thing that bothered me (and still does) is why the hell does Chicken Little wear a business suit and sunglasses on the CD.

28:05 That isn't Patrick Warburton as the epilogue movie Chicken Little, it's Adam West.

I just want to point out, adult movie Chicken Little was Adam West, not Patrick Warburton.

The fact that he didn't liked fish, he's not to be trusted. We all know fish carried the entire movie from start to finish.

Why is it so confusing that they're talking about an event that destroyed the city for one year when in real life we still talk about terrorist attacks after decades.

Dazz refers to Chicken Little as a 2006 animated kids’ film throughout this video. Just to correct him, Chicken Little was actually released in 2005, he’s a year off.

You know, Can we go back to where Disney was writing *good* kinds of fairytales and stories?

I never saw this one as a kid so I don't have any nostalgia about it...and I don't HATE the main character but the amount of bullying he gets and A YEAR AFTER THE FACT is just too much. They overdid it and instead of becoming sympathetic it just became frustrating and aggravating. I think this would be better if all of this happened the next day or over a week after the first incident. Then you'd understand that a small town like this would live off of this news for a while. And maybe, you could have people warming up to Chciken Little, and slowly forgetting about the stuff...and then he scores the baseball and they forget it again but then the aliens happen and they just get angry with him again...or maybe, like in the original tale, don't believe him bc of the previous incident. They just think it'a acorns again and then the invasion really happens and it turns out the Chicken was right all along. and you can absolutely write Buck as an asshole father, who cares more about his reputation but he's got to get his comeuppance at the end...so his change is meaningful. Bc as it stands now, he was only on his son';s side bc he became the town hero. But just wait until Chicken does something embarrassing again, or something Buck doesn't see as pretigous or manly enough or whatever and he'll drop the kid again. The film portrayed him absolutely as the kind of guy, who is there for people only when it makes him look good by proxy, and when things go well. The moment going gets though he's not there anymore and joins the other side. Also the ending for Foxy Loxy/Locksy was disturbing. She got her brain scrambled and her personalty altered into something else, not through an organic growth but through brainwashing/mind control machine and she stayed that bc some guy had hots for her, and now can get together with her. It's a horror movie plotline. Not a 'happy ending'.

I saw this movie as a kid in theaters for some classmate’s bday. I had to piss so badly throughout the entire thing but was too scared to get up since the mom had sat us IN THE FRONT ROW. The movie felt painfully long and was just all over the place. Little kid me hated every second on top of having to go to the bathroom. I constantly think about that experience as an adult any time the movie is mentioned.

This is like the prototype to that awful Simpson's episode where everybody bullies Bart for messing up at a baseball game, driving him to try to commit self ending. Both done under Disney's management, of course.

The only part of this movie I really liked was the alien arrival scene. With those exo suits, they look like something from War of the Worlds, which they even directly reference. The use of lighting and cinematography looks pretty cool, and the music was pretty intense and catchy.

This movie had a lot of corporate influence/meddling behind it including Buck's character which which is why I blame Disney for its outcome.

True. Mark Dindall (director of Disney's The Emperor's New Groove), who directed this film, actually hated the end product because of this executive meddling on the part of Disney. You know that the movie is bad when even the director also hates the movie.
