I am so happy that DBS has given you your life back so you can enjoy your family and your life. I had DBS surgery 7 years ago. I suffer from Essential Tremors. Obviously the procedure is much different now than it was. I had to wait 4 weeks after my surgery to have my stimulater switched on. It took 6 adjustments over 2 years to get my settings "just right" for me. Currently 99% of my tremors are completely gone. I had a new battery installed in the chest 2 years ago. The first one lasted 5 years and 2 months. I turn it off when I go to sleep and turn it back on when I wake. I do this to extend battery life.

PD sucks. I was diagnosed in 2018 at 40. Now I am 45. Still working full time, but this is very difficult especially the off times. I currently take around 23 sinimet per day. Dbs may be in my future. Well done buddy ❤
