A serious diagnosis is life altering in many different ways. Often serving as a “wake-up call,” it can even be a positive game-changer. When we experience someone else’s story, it touches something inside in a deep way. We recognize our own nature and feel the range of emotions until we find a life-line that gives us hope and possibility. Don’t we all need more of that?
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Wow! Thank you Patrick so much for sharing your development as an artist. Very encouraging as my youngest son (42 - diagnosed with early onset at 37) is a self taught photographer struggling with motivation to continue and develop his craft.

Patrick we had over 20 RSHM Sisters attending your talk. We were amazed at your powerful art work while adjusting to your Parkinson's. You brought a true sense of hope to us as we struggle with our own physical compromises. The reflections continue almost a week later. Thank you for your inspirational art work. Respectfully submitted by Sister Agnes
