Mayuri Might actually not have passed Urahara(depending on the timing of things), CFYOW has Hisagi ask Urahara about the kids at his store with the Conversation end with Urahara confirming, without saying, that they are the same as Nemu.

The reason Pernida eats Nemu is because it learned how to do so through Mayuri's Bankai. During the fight, Pernida learned several things: how to talk because of Zaraki, gained Zaraki’s physicality, developed the skin-peeling ability due to Mayuri's Bankai, and even learned how to eat without teeth. Essentially, whatever Pernida touches, it learns and copies that behavior. Also pernida didn't randomly decide to consume Nemu even though mayuri was right there. I think it was being instinctively cautious. Keep in mind pernida has bested mayuri so far and even outwit him at times. Nemu just popped out of nowhere and obliterated it twice. She was the greater threat. Pernida likely wanted to copy the superhuman qualities of nemu, evolve further and eliminate the threat of her completely similar to how Mayuri had Jizu eat it. Plus Pernida wanted to evolve further so it chose the Jizu method (which it recently learned) of eating Nemu’s scraps to reach that next evolutionary stage.

The "almightyfied" soldat might well be the most exciting thing of all the added content of this cour. May be Chad and Ganju will have other things to fight than statues in this version and, who knows, maybe even Tsukishima and Ginjo will actually join in a final fight against those while Ichigo and Orihime face Ywach.

Man I can't wait to watch this. One of my favorite chapters in the manga. Just the sheer insanity of what happened and Mayuri being thanked for saving his fellow captains felt really wholesome especially when you recall what happened in the soul society arc

Yhwach was clearly just playing with the leftover sternritters. He likes his opponents to feel a slight chance only to deliver true despair. I don’t know how he ending scene will stand against CFYOW but personally I hope TYBW is the eventual end of the Quincies overall. I found the Bambis role in CFYOW already a minor plotline with no real significance to the overall story. And let’s be real everything would be better if they ended up dead once and for all instead of being picked up by division 12 or at the mercy of the shinigami. Let a lone being enslaved by Mayuri or Giselle. At the end of the day Kubo is free to do whatever he wants. Though I’d wish if he use the anime to tease more at hell arc.

you are basically advocating for mass genocide, the violent cycle will never end no reason for the universe to not birth another avenger quincy later on. Even pernida implies Adneyus was always a quincy and was done very wrong, its healthier for both sides to learn to co exist but i guess its just fantasy and you can revel in the extinction of others.

I didn’t really like this episode, but then again, Mayuri and Nemu are probably my least favorite characters in bleach. I appreciated the gore as I felt it made the scene more intense, but I didn’t feel sad or anything. Just happy that this fight is over and we can finish Shunsui’s battle.
