Yes definitely recommend the dark multiverse dc stories, just seeing the different nightmare batman and their stories is cool. Plus red death is the only nightmare batman who turns to the side of good. His powers are awesome too.

Well, he has a family, ~580k suscribers with a channel aimed at adults collecting toys (that's huge for a niche audience), can live off his passion and has contacts with several important manufacturers in the sector. From my point of view Shartimus is already a very lucky man.

Okay where to start for me. I think this 2 pack didn't need to exist or the solo Flash release didn't need to exist. They could have done a Reverse Flash/Red Death set. I don't feel this face for Flash matches that of a hero character. I like the head but not for Flash. If you have both figures, you don't really need to do a swap sans the hands. Something I've noticed with these last few figures. The leg hinges are WAY TOO thin and prone to breaking if you bring the leg forward too much. They need to thicken that hinge and make the swivel a little looser. Or move to ball joints. Articulation No upward head and no forward torso articulation. If they added some slots they could easily crunch forward and be tight. The figures all look great. Given how young this line is, figures looking poor/iffy seems to not be as much of an issue. Mcfarlane just needs to understand that human skulls take more a bit of space. They just need to make a few tweaks under the hood that I don't think would compromise the sculpts. Also if they could stop these weird two packs that would be great.

A thorough and good review. I was going to get these two. In fact, when I first saw the advertisements for it, I was super hyped. When I saw them in hand though, I decided I liked the White Knight Azrael and Batman a lot better. I collect on a budget and couldn't afford all four figures. That would have been eighty bucks. As much as I love the McFarlane DC Multiverse figures, I can't justify dropping that much money in one clip for action figures. I'd like to add that I'm surprised Shartimus didn't mention that Red Death's head looks a little small. Shart's big on head size.

getting it on tuesday..... red death was too enticing! the flash looks good too but i saw the single recently at the store and the way he was posed in the package was sick! he wasn't running he was on one foot in some kind of powering up pose. i can't find it anywhere now all i see is flash running.???

Red Death was one one shot wanted really bad but missed out. Hope get the yellow version of him. Its crazy how cool the base is. Haven't read Red Death but the rest eas really good. Also didn't you get The Devestator? He is one of the Dark Batmen as well. Same with the Batman Who Laughs (HIGHLY Recommended READING the one shot first)

I love the Red Death figure but MacFarlane seems to have done their own thing with the design somewhat as it looks different to the design in the comics, especially with the lighter reds. Also the rocky base is just odd, expecting it to have proper foot placements, it doesn't, just two pegs. Odd.

I preordered the MCU Cable from Walmart and it got delayed to at least December. Walmart never notified me or updated the website with the new date. I just got the figure from a reseller on Amazon at a price I was comfortable with. Where are you trying to get the figures from? Personally, the Metal storyline was a bit too campy for me, and I feel that the negative Batmen were underutilized outside of the Batman-Who-Laughs (they acted like stereo-typical supervillains instead of BATMAN WITH POWERS). But I do recommend that you check out the standalone origin issues of each of the negative Batmen since most of them have really nice back stories.

Their origin issues were good but in the actual event they didn't do anything. Like they beat up the heroes and then are defeated without fanfare. There isn't any resolution for most of them. They are never confronted with their origins. They were disposable. I feel an animate show/movie could do far more with just that aspect.

That Flash figure is just awful. What the hell is up with the bat ears? It's like McFarlane is incapable of making non-Batman characters to the point that he had to give Flash bat features despite the fact that it should NOT be like that. The face on Flash also looks like he is running to the bathroom and holding in a shit. This is without a doubt one of the worst Flash figures I have ever seen. God damn I wish Mattel had not lost the line. Don't give a damn about Batman Flash because... well, Batman.
